What select resorts wilk get the Extra Magic Hours at night? Are they just Deluxe Resorts? Not a shocker they are bringing back ticketed events, they make money on them.
Um, H20 glow had been around pre-covid, it went missing for awhile. I am supper excited to see it return. It is fun, Good summertime fun, I’d leave the very young at home, but most kids will get a kick out of the afterdark aspect, adults love it too. Personally I’d leave the brood younger than tweens with grandma and grandpa and go have fun. I plan on going at least twice this year, gotta make up for lost time. I’ll make a plan of it, book a room at Port Orleans Riverside for a night or two and never go to one of the parks. Just swim and hop the boat to Disney Springs, lounge and stroll by day, swim and eat by night.
Sounds lovely Erik, only thing is how much is Disney going to charge you, it its like other events the cost will be out of this World expensive and likely not worth it.
Disney is magical, nighttime events in particular-
That being said, this is not a cheap vacation by any means, without all the extra charges!
I have visited several times before Covid, and once after.
Just like some of the Disney films, the “magic” is gravitating away with nothing but monetary greed left in its place!
Don’t get me wrong- I realize it costs quite a bit to keep this place going.
But I also have been there in summer and winter, there are no “down times”!
It is always busy
And I feel so bad for the families that save for years to take their children for the 1 time they can afford, and yet they are denied extra magic hours because they need to stay at a budget resort!
I bet Walt never planned on that!!
The loss of magic exspress is another major disappointment.
Again, more magic gone.
These changes are not good, except if you happen to be financially well off.
Such a shame
H2glow nights have been around awhile. They stopped when typhoon lagoon closed during covid. Glad to see disney willing to bring this after hours event back. Been there 3 times and had a blast each time with my wife and kids. In my eyes the price of admission is reasonable for what you get. I believe we paid 75$ a ticket pre pandemic. At the time we were annual passholders so we also got an extra discount on the tickets. If you love water parks then this event is right up your alley. They have special food drink desserts and merchandise for purchase only offered during h2glow nights. Best part in my eyes is no standing in long lines getting sun burned cause you forgot to reapply lotion. Its warm enough at night to enjoy the rides, no sun and wait times are usually pretty short. We were able to get on everything we wanted plus rode the family tube slide 14 times in a row!! Barely any line so we got off and right back on. It was so much fun. My kids loved every second. The DJ was playing music which could be heard around most of the park. The lazy river had led glowing tubes to float on. There was plenty of party lights around park to make you feel you were at a big party. Special character meet and greets. Big dance area set up in the sand in front of the dj stage. Again pre covid. Over all a must experience for people or families who love water parks. Great way to make memories to last a lifetime. I am sure a few things may change with this event post covid but even if disney changes a few things we will definitely be attending h2glow iin summer 2022 when it opens. Would reccomend doing your do diligence and read up on event though if this is your 1st time going so you know what to expect. I would reccomend not bringing a bunch of extra stuff into event. They have lockers you can rent to secure your things or you can leave your towels and belongings on the chairs or loungers around the waterpark. We brought our towels and a small back pack to hold a few things and that’s it. Cant wait to get back to h2glow. Thanks disney for bringing this awesome event back!!
Follow up to my last post. For those worried about pricing or accusing disney of price gouging. This event is entertainment. Meant to entertain you and your family. In my opinion no different than going to a sporting event, concert, movies or other event you pay to attend if you so desire to entertain yourself. You have the decision to go or not to go so please save the negativity. This event in my personal opinion is worth spending the money on to entertain your family and make lasting memories to cherish. It works for my family. It will be a good experience for many other families too. Thanks
