If anyone happens to catch sight of this comment, please do give it a good read…….
Since NOBODY thinks emailing Disney will make a SUBATOMIC PARTICLE of difference………………is there ANYTHING………anything AT ALL that we can do to get Chapek out?
In the best case scenario, I guess all we can do is just bleed Disney dry of money until shareholders stop getting payed and realize that a whole new board is needed……..First Susan Arnold and THEN Chapek.
We ALL need to remember that Sue Arnold HOLDS THE STRINGS on Chapek, and Chapek holds the strings on Josh D’Amaro, so Arnold is the ABSOLUTE top. I therefore think that if Disney starts making major losses, shareholders might vote against ARNOLD and reinstate a better Chairman who can make more changes than ANY CEO.
1. Susan Arnold is the first person in the Greed Centipede
2. Followed by CEO Bob Chapek
3. Followed by Josh D’Amaro (whom EVERYONE GIVES A PASS) for the decisions made in the park
4. And then finally WE are at the back of that centipede
Only gutting the parks of all their money can truly wake shareholders UP and get them to take charge, remove the entire board a replace a new one…….That could be our ONLY hope
We cannot just sit here and complain; if we are to save Disney then we need to do SOMETHING about it. Our wallets are our greatest weapon against Disney’s current board, and it could allow a new breed of execs to come in and revitalize the company.
Unless you truly believe that Disney is a lost cause, I would urge you to withhold your money as long as is necessary before a new CEO AND Chairman are elected. Then and ONLY then might we see a revitalization of the Walt Disney Company.
(I PRAY somebody catches sight of this BEFORE commenting. There has to be SOME kind of resolve)
I want EVERYONE who sees this comment to ask themselves; is there anything that WE as customers could’ve done about this, or do you think corporate greed would ALWAYS find a way AROUND our money and our distaste, and around Walt’s legacy, and were we POWERLESS to save Walt’s dream? I want everyone to thing VERY hard about that…….
Until proven otherwise, I believe that WE could be part of the problem, still feeding Disney our good money…………And wonder if withdrawing that money MIGHT bring about positive change, OR just worsen the situation……………
Until the demand for Disney parks, movies, and merchandise drops they will not change anything. For every one person who choses to boycott Disney, there are 10 others waiting in line to buy their goods and services.
The simple answer is we can’t. The demand far outweighs any dissatisfaction with Disney. If you want to cease giving them your business, then that is all you can do.
No, no, no, Stephen, only those articles about Bob Chapek. We need to spread as much awareness of it as possible……….Unless you don’t think a boycott will actually *work*…………
I have to wonder what these cast members hope to accomplish. Disney cannot change Florida law, and they are not going to uproot operations to go to another state. If they truly think children aged 4-9 need to be having conversations about sexuality then they are on the losing side of public opinion.
Agreed. I don’t want anything sexual taught to my kids in a public school regardless of it being gay or straight. Teach them reading, math, colors… let their parents do that at home….I don’t understand why this is even a conversation. Someone teaches my kids about anything sexual or sexuality related, straight or gay, I’m going to lose my mind. That’s our role as their parents.
I support Bob Chapek. I think he’s done a fantastic job through a very difficult pandemic time. It’s easy for employees to criticize the boss, or for the customers to whine about price increases. It doesn’t mean they know what is best for the company. There’s a reason that Chapek is the CEO whereas those people aren’t.
With all the price increases, and still charging you more for less, the things included are on top of an increase an additional charge, the hoops one has to jump through to try and have an enjoyable day in the parks, its a mess a total, and its down to Bob Chapek.
Next your be telling us Putin is also a good leader.
Why are YOU not buying shares in Disney to weaponize them against Chapek.
I’ve spent week after week after week haranguing the comment section to fight bad buy shares or boycott Disney, but everyone just sits and complains. You and I could become someone like that unless we spread the word to DO SOMETHING
I’ve actually SAID that the ammount of hypocrisy is insane………….lamenting the currnet state of Disney with comments (like the one of yours I’m replying to) and yet NOT BOTHERING TO FIGHT HARDER
It’s uttrly, uttrly hypocrtical; we need to do more to bring Chapek down
Matthew I agree with you completely, I have sent a number of emails to Disney direct about the costs, the hoops one has to jump through, the lack of service and lack of value for money, I have also sent letters to Virgin regarding the situation, Disney on 3 letters didn’t even bother to reply at all, they just do not care.
I think I have told you previously, that I have stopped going to Disney after 20+ years until things change, I’ve moved over to Universal and having a hassle free fun time and at a lesser cost.
Its a shame, but Disney do not care not matter what you try to do, people will get it and eventually come to their senses that its not worth the money and like the late 80’s Disney slowed down because people stopped coming. Ijust hope we do not have to wait forever for this Disney Board to be replaced or change their ways.
Wow you must have a lot of money or be on his payroll!! Chapek is by far the worst CEO Disney has ever had!! The cast members hate him, the public hates him, the only ones who like him are the shareholders because they are making money and could care less about what anyone thinks. Now that I think about it you must be a shareholder!! The fireworks are the worst Disney has ever had, there are barely any parades, there are no character meet and greets!! Disney has gone downhill ever since this piece of garbage became CEO!! Maybe you need to go sleep with him you loser!!
The only thing I can personally do is to not patronize Disney. I have 5 one day tickets that my wife and I will use early in October adding a one day for a 3 day trip. After that we may never go again. I have been over 20 times since 2003 and my wife has gone over 50 times since 1975. Paying more for less and seeing all the Wokeness is not for us.
I think Disney is delusional (or lying) if they think the dissatisfaction of CMs and guests is because of some bill. People are furious at the way Bob Paycheck is running the company PERIOD. The guy’s leadership is a joke and he’s ruining the parks, and the company’s reputation is now in the 🚽. They may be upset at a bill but that’s just one sliver of ice in a HUGE glacier of issues. This helps to prove what people have been saying for years: Disney is completely out of touch with their CMs and guests.
I feel Chapek should resign, he is the worst CEO for Disney ever. I am a shareholder and I am very unhappy with his leader ship. He doesn’t care about cast members he doesn’t care about the public that come to visit the parks. All he cares about is the bottom line. That is not the way to run a business especially Disney. I miss Iger so much. He understood what Disney is all about. I compare the present CEO to the disastrous leader of our US Postal Service. They are both losers and should not be in charge of anything.
Fire Chapek now! I don’t feel that I ever want to return to Disney until he is gone. The value is awful, the Magic is gone….😢
It would seem the only ones who actually like Bob Paycheck are the shareholders. He seems to be alienating just about every group except the shareholders.
The author exposes her bias by calling it the don’t say gay bill and making it soyuld like there are thousands that will walk out. Not only has the small minority of over reactive LGB&^%+?! groupies been pissed off but so have the conservastive casrt members as well becuase he has created an environment where they are subject to bullying. Hostel work environmnent lawsuits anyone?!? And the problem started LONG before Chapek – Iger was a puke long before. If they walk out fire their asses.
My recommendation to Disney is to stay out of Politics! The other suggestion is to read the “Parents’ Bill of Rights.” . My third one is to remember their mission to make quality entertainment for children. Looking at Disney’s here is no awakening in”wokeness” it is all political and it is made to divide us so we are more easily controlled. Disney CEO sponsored “priorities initiatives launched” affinity groups. also known as BERGs which are racially segregated for minority employees only, to better allow the “culturally – authentic insights. How brilliant ! Resegregation to achieve “diversity” . I’m sure that won’t cause unforeseen issues in the years to come. I urge anyone being directed to these kind of harassment programs in the workforce to speak with a legal professional.

Are you going to copypasta this onto every article on the site?
Also the random caps for words all over the place make you look a little unhinged when you wrote it.
Matthew Muir
No, no, no, Stephen, only those articles about Bob Chapek. We need to spread as much awareness of it as possible……….Unless you don’t think a boycott will actually *work*…………

And I feel only passion will get people to realize how badly Disney needs saving…..if there *is* indeed anything we can do

Then you must realize that not everyone thinks the same way that you do. This is a big country with lots of different opinions on things.
donald jay trump
Kids need to be taught age appropriate things. This is a middle school topic at earliest, not one for 5 year olds.
Matthew Muir
What on earth is Donald Trump doing here?
Braxton
Agreed. I don’t want anything sexual taught to my kids in a public school regardless of it being gay or straight. They’re not dealing any damage to the mechanisms keeping Chapek in power
