Zach Riddley and those like him are the elements that have ruined Imagineering in the last couple decades, their consolidation of power within Imagineering has squeezed out the last remaining remnants of creativity from what was once a mighty company. Instead of attractions that took years to design and build, now off the shelf carnival rides and basic rollercoasters with little theming propagate the parks with more of an emphasis on lighting and windows than the actual original groundbreaking ride technology Imagineering was known for.

    What a shame…

Dammann yeah you hit it on the head. I’ve been beating my brain against the wall for the past 10 years as to why this has happened and can’t find any clear reason – the whole land is just frozen in the 2001. This is unfortunate for many reasons, and you already brought up most of them but I’ll add this: Innovations building, the old Capt EO theatre, Starcade and most importantly the PeopleMover track straight up just sitting there doing nothing is causing AT LEAST 6,800 guests to be in other areas of the park and riding other attractions PER HOUR. That’s only based on Capt EO (about 2000 per hour at 575 per 17min show) and PeopleMover numbers. Pirates is number one ride (not including shows) capacity per hour at about 3095 – PeopleMover pushed nearly 4885 people thru it an hr. That’s a staggering number. Tomorrowland is there for a reason and it is causing everything else to be massively overpopulated. Then there’s the issue of where to put Start Tours now that there’s a Star Wars land but that’s anyone’s guess at this point. They have more pressing issues obviously.

Carousel of Progress brought back. Spend the money to fix and bring peoplemover back. Lose Star tours and bring an UPDATED inner space back. EO theater gone and place a new circlevision theater there with digital projections. Generations will find all the updated old stuff as new. We want our “world on the move” back

Diz made an incredibly bad decision to build ST:GE on the west side of the park. The most obvious spot for it was Tomorrowland! Now, ironically, TL has no future.

…Walt’s Monorail must remain. The Submarines, possibly the most imaginative attraction in the park, must remain. Then it follows the Autopia needs to remain also. Sure, add something else..a time travel ride, or, shrink people to the size of the atom, send folks to Alpha Centauri. Put something on the PeopleMover track, preferably the PeopleMover..and get special approvals to build it safely, attractively, and exciting. Walt’s dream of a Tomorrow on the Move cannot be disregarded.

I think it’s a shame they have not kept up with Walt Disney’s vision. When I walk through tomorrowland I see the old track from the people mover. It brings back great memories but also sadness because it’s no longer there and they have done nothing to update tomorrow land. Tomorrow land needs to be updated badly to reflect the future.. And not just have A land that you go and stare at. Look what Disney did in California adventure they got rid of bugs life land that had all kinds of rides and they took it all out and there’s only 1 ride 1. I think people would much rather have rides to go on and stay entertained than just stare at something. You can come back over and over again and only stare at the same thing for so long But rides are exhilarating no matter what the ride is.That’s just my opinion but I bet a lot of people feel like I do. I have been to Disneyland over 400 times throughout the course of my life. I love Disneyland it’s been a part of my life since I was a kid. We have had annual passes for many years and currently have an annual pass financial pass but I am sad to say this will be the last pass we have when it inspires we are not renewing. The price increases that continue to happen are just telling us that they don’t want families there anymore it’s for adults only apparently. They’re saying leave your kids at home and your grandkids at home. Walt must be turning over in his grave. He started the idea of Dante Disneyland with the intent of having somewhere to take his family his girl specifically and also have things for the adults to do. It’s just my opinion but I think they now are saying they don’t want kids anymore. They’re saying it indirectly by pricing the average family right out of being able to go. It’s a real shame. I’m going to miss you Disneyland !!!!!

Tomorrowland is seriously outdated. Most of the attractions are now in the past. We need future ideas that taken place yet. I wish they would bring back Carousel of Progress, only take up where they left off and show things that are happening now. Everyone loved that ride. The monorail can stay, so can Space Mountain. But everything else needs to go.

One thing that would be great to update is making all of the vehicles at Autopia electric. The area would smell alot nicer and be much more modern, even be a glance at the future when cars no longer need gas.

Build an Avatar ride at Disneyland.

Originally Tomorrowland had many product demonstration booths and educational be exhibits. We just caught up with the technology…now all anyone wants are thrill rides. The area is very limited in size. If we want to keep it Tomorrowland we need to return to looking to the future…and that requires constant updating.
