Even Universal would not allow the mismatched theming loading temporarily media into the theater set up for The Simpsons. For this reason alone, it won’t happen.

    Beyond that:

The BTTF ridefilm only existed in 15/70 Imax print Film at proper resolution, it was not digitized at 8k or higher as would be required for a digital projection system as exists today.

The ride motion profile is not only vastly different, the old data is incompatible with the current hardware system both electronic ally ant physically. Attempting to re create the motion profile s for all 12 vehicles would be highly subjective at his point and due to physical changes to the hardware, practically speaking impossible. A new profile would change the nature of the experience.

The digital audio masters for the ride were reported lost years ago.

The current projection system isn’t on par with the original specifications. While digital, It’s a poor facsimile.

Only one key member of the original production team still works for Universal. The expertise to reassemble the experience is no longer there.

With enough money and commitment, anything is possible, but, sadly, there are too many challenges.
