Interesting that I randomly stumble across this article, considering my experience with this ride years ago. Let me just tell you, that won’t be a lawsuit you will be winning. Their rides are apparently “ride at your own risk” and most lawyers won’t even attempt to file suit unless someone has died. Those that will, want a stack of cash up front to fund all the motions to dismiss coming your way. The only thing my mother got out of them was a lesson in how hard it is to go to war with a theme park. That and the 4 fusions in her neck, spinal implant, and two strokes as a result of a single ride on that piece of junk in 2001. Hopefully they are better at training their crews to make sure the safety bar is fully closed these days.
This is complete bs. No way that 4 fusions, spinal implant and two strokes are a result of this ride. Where’s the article, because if this was the case there would be one on every major news site because it would have had to have been extremely serious of an accident to cause damage to someone like that. How the hell is someone going to have all that and two strokes from a ride that is more tame than teacups at Disneyland. It goes like 1-2mph in the water and then has a drop that is completely tame but just makes people nervous because it’s hidden, in a tunnel, and loud. It doesn’t even have enough force to throw you out if you didn’t have a lap bar. You are as bad as this article just spewing and inflating information just for non related reasons or attention.
This article makes it seem as if this took place on Jurassic PARK in Orlando because the article called the ride outdated but the video shows the ride is Jurassic WORLD which is in Hollywood and that one is definitely NOT outdated since it’s newer. Honestly legit one job, cross check which one you’re writing about. No excuse in confusing the two anymore.
So tired of these garbage articles!!! You reference a video and then there is no video… and then per usual you feel the rest of the article with generic stock descriptions of attractions/the theme park that you’ve lifted from their website which have nothing to do with anything and are just filler for you in an otherwise pointless “article.” Every time you write about these attractions you use the same generic stock photos from 20 years ago and half the time aren’t even from the right attraction, such as in this case when you included a photo from the Jurassic World ride, which is not located at this theme park.
If you don’t like a website why do you go to it and write a lengthy negative letter ? Most people just look for another site dealing with what they were looking for. It like going into a Greek Restaurant looking for Italian food.
You have to click on their Twitter handle to see the video. I don’t see anything wrong with the in show evacuation. Anytime there is an evacuation from a water ride it’s much harder than none water rides.
This article is all sorts of wrong. For one, this is at Universal Studios Hollywood, not Islands of Adventure in Orlando. Two, the Hollywood version just had a big update and turned it into Jurassic World and added new dinosaurs and everything. So it’s not outdated.
Rides at universal feel dated?
I went to universal studios after it first opened approximately 31 years ago and I believe they may have replaced every ride with something else except maybe ET and earthquake. Disney world on the other hand have many of the same rides as the day they first opened over 50 years ago but with good maintenance.
First of all, if you’re gonna crap on a ride make sure it’s the RIGHT one. The video features jurassic WORLD in Universal Studios HOLLYWOOD which is not outdated at all. While this article may in fact include old Hollywood Jurassic Park ride photos, they’re outdated. If those photos are any newer than 2019, they’re of Orlando’s ride. Universal Studios Hollywood officially closed down Jurrasic Park River Adventure years ago, and in 2019, reopened as Jurrasic WORLD, and is supposed to feature the Indominus Rex at the drop, NOT a T-Rex. The differences between both rides are EXTREMELY noticeable as the boats in Hollywood are GREY, and theres an INDOMINUS REX at the end. Universal Studios ORLANDO has not yet followed suit with an update to the Jurassic PARK River Adventure ride, which still features the original YELLOW boats and the T-REX at the drop. If you’re going to write articles on Universal Studios you should first check which ride is where because Universal has many parks across the world. (Fun Fact: I knew all of this as I followed the Hollywood update to Jurassic WORLD closely, and am a current annual premier passholder at Universal Studios ORLANDO, but for the sake of accuracy since that is what I’m currently commenting on, I researched it all as well. I’m also a Jurassic Park/World fan who waited eagerly for the ONLY jurrasic WORLD ride in ORLANDO to open which is the Velocicoster.) I am disgusted by this writing you call and “Article”. Do. Better.
I came here to basically say what others already did, but I will add anyway. This article is full of inaccurate info. Wrong ride, not outdated. (Dont attack my favorite ride.) And is basically an opinion piece based on the opinion of apparently one tik tok comment. How else do you get off the water ride, you want to be cherry picked by a crane?
It really desperately needs a major update. We were there in December and the dinosaurs look like they are from the 1950s.
The ride is fun, just redo the dinosaurs please.
Comments for Fans Call Universal Ride “A Lawsuit Waiting To Happen” After Break Down

I hope it’s a ride with your own risk. It’s honestly annoying we have to baby proof things for young adults.
Soon we will only have VR rides with a screen

Maybe the reason Disney has good exits is because they have more breakdowns than Universal. 🤭

2001 and you mom was in perfect health right?

I looked for 30 minutes for the video and it’s not there. It’s honest reviewers like me that keeps sites like this going!

I’ve seen Disney make people wade through water to evacuate so Universal is much better.
