I love UNIVERSAL, AND ALSO THE JIMMY FALLON RIDE, and #HASHTAG 🐼, I DO MISS JAWS! BUT what are you gonna do? I enjoy being at Universal and find myself over there MORE than WDW , we are park ppl. So stop complaining and suck it up buttercups!
I personally love, love, love the Jimmy Fallon ride. I am limited in the rides that I can get on and Jimmy Fallon is one of the ones that I enjoy the most.
Both rides are solid quality, IMO. I like the Jimmy Fallon ride better, though. Fast and Furious is not a franchise I care for, but the ride is interesting. And yes, there I do have some nostalgia for Jaws, but I’m more upset about the loss of Shrek 4D. I wish they’d have just reimagined or updated that ride, instead of getting rid of Shrek entirely.
If you were to ask me which ride is my least favorite at Universal Orlando I’d probably have to say the Transformers. A bit boring and, like the movies, hard to tell just what’s going on from one scene to the next.
I was not a fan of F&F, but went on the ride as my adult daughter wanted to. When we got home, I told the wife I would like to watch the movies. We did, now hooked on the franchise.
Fast and Furious ride is cheap.
It might be cool to look at the classic cars thru the shop while waiting in line, but the ride itself is full of cheap effects from like a old 80s arcade game. The bus ‘jumps and tilts’ back and forth from side to side ever so slightly there is no call for any safety features such as seatbelts. The ride is probably the ‘safest’ most boring ride at Universal. Toddlers would not even be afraid of this ride.
Ok. There are too many sensitive people in this world just dying to have whatever don’t fit them removed. If you don’t like something, move along. Others like it. That’s how the world works. Just because someone doesn’t like something, doesn’t mean others don’t. Go on with your life and stop trying to make it all about you.
I actually think the Jimmy Fallon ride isn’t bad at all. I enjoyed it… Now on the other hand, YES! the Fast & Furious ride for the franchise that it is could be 1000% better! After all the hype leading up to the ride going through the line, the ride is absolutely TRASH! I definitely do miss Jaws & Twister though. Don’t really know why Jaws was removed when the area is still there & being unused.
JAWS was removed due to the maintenance costing more than it was worth to keep it…
As for the land bring unused, when was the last time you were there? The Wizarding World of Harry Potter -Diagon Alley is in that very spot!
Maybe on my second and third ride through I’ll probably be bored. But my son loves Minions and at least the ride has some kind of story you can connect with. Jimmy Fallon and Furious do not and leaves you with “That’s it?”
We loved the Jimmy Fallon ride! The graphics were wonderful. Was one of my daughter’s highlights. We did it twice. I was excited to see Hashtag the Panda. Stop hating!
Jaws was replaced by Diagon Alley, not Fast & Furious. Jaws always had technical problems and the Harry Potter area was a very important addition to the park. As for Fast & Furious, I agree it was a major mistake. A lousy ride. Jimmy Fallon, however, is a great ride that anyone can enjoy. I have no idea why some people hate it. It’s not thrilling but it’s fun and less dizzying than Minions and Simpsons. It replaced Twister which really wasn’t a good attraction at all. Pretty lackluster.
Have you ever heard “If you cannot say anything nice, do not say anything at all”? Try it and the world may seem like a nicer place. Plus if you do not like the ride, you are free NOT TO RIDE IT. No one is forcing to stand in the queue to ride it. Go stand in another queue that you do want to ride.
Men In Black is the worst ride in Universal. I get dizzy spinning around trying to shoot at stupid targets. It’s like those nauseous tea cup rides. 🤮🤮🤮
At least on MIB you have something to focus on. I can ride it, last time I went on teacups, i had to sit for about a 1/2 hour just to get from losing my cookies.
I could actually probably appreciate those two rides better IF they didn’t replace 2 excellent ones. Twister and Earthquake were great experience rides (where you actually “experience” a twister or earthquake) and didn’t involve looking at a screen. That’s where universal has gone so wrong – their obsession with screen rides. They need to bring back experience rides. Fast N Furious is boring and just capitalizes on a mega franchise. Jimmy Fallon is a little better but it’s just more unnecessarily screen technology/motion simulator that we don’t need. They got plenty of other rides like that. Nothing original about them at all. Just one man’s opinion! All entitled to our own 🙂
Thank you Ryan! Have you been on Kong? Terrible ride—Too many screens! I give their theming thumbs up for sure and I like the Fallon ride idea—I just hate screen rides. They make me sick 😷 and I think they are lazy. Disney seems to have this problem too! Get rid of the screens!
I do actually like Kong more than those other 2 but I agree that it’s still overall nauseating. Disney and Universal have the capacity to do more innovative things than just screens. Mickey and Minnies Railroad is an excellent example of a limited screen ride and much more immersive. The theming, like you said, is always top notch but it just needs to be executed correctly.
Love Jimmy Fallon ride. Not a fan 9f Fast and Furious. So I do the rides I love and pass on those I don’t. Don’t spend precious time being a hater. Go and enjoy what you do like.
The amount of people in the comments defending Jimmy Fallon ride and dislike MIB ride? lmao what world am I living in? A ride where you sit in one place and watch a short clip and your seat wiggles slightly, compared to an immersive alien shooter score-keeping ride. Massive difference and clear which one maintains the spirit of the park.
Universal does a great job of provided rides for EVERYONE’s enjoyment. Baskin Robbins has 32 flavors because not everyone likes chocolate. Close to 40 rides between the 2 parks I’m sure there is something you like that others don’t. Welcome to America! We have choices.
Fast n the Furious is really boring and so slow to move through the line. We went only once on that ride even though we have been to the Park many times.
Me and my family LOVE the Jimmy Fallon ride! We usually end up going on it over and over again if the wait time isn’t too long. I love the idea of how the waiting area is set up, it sure beats standing in long lines the whole time. Some aspects of the ride feel so real, it gives me butterflies in my stomach. I hope Universal never gets rid of it.
Agree with quite a few of the other comments about the Jimmy Fallon ride…..it is one of our family’s favorites, and we’ve ridden it at least a dozen times!
The F&F ride? “Ew!” We’ve ridden that once, and that was probably one time too many, IYKWIM!?
Also agree with others that the Simpsons and Minions rides were ok, but not our favorites. We do disagree with a few posts, however, because we actually enjoy MIB (whenever it’s working!?)

I loved the Jimmy Fallon ride. I don’t see what all the foolishness is about. It was funny and pretty cool. I went on it twice and thought it one of the better rides. To each his own. I would be disappointed if they took it down.
The Jimmy Fallons ride is one of my favorite. I do not enjoy Fast and Furious sorry, I miss Twister and Back To The Future. I was sad to these those rides go .
The 2bd paragraph states that Universal has something for everyone. This attraction may not be for you but you can walk right by and not get in line . There are some who enjoy enjoy . Personally, I don’t care for it but not expect everyone to agree with me. Time will tell, if visitors aren’t lining up to get in then it may be time to close it. In the meantime let those who enjoy it enjoy it
Jimmy is an OK ride but fast and furious is straight trash… it’s boring and not enjoyable at all. Can’t wait for it to be replaced with something good or even mediocre.
Para mí el paseo de Jimmy Fallon y Fast & furious son de lo mejor, Por lo menos hay un lugar con distintas atracciones para divertirse. Espero poder volver pronto. No las eliminen porque a algunos no les gusten.
What people need to understand is Universl is for everyone….not just complaining adults that the ride isn’t for them. Jimmy Fallon is a nice easy ride especially exciting for children that are too young for the fast and wild roller coaster. I suppose the merry-go-round should go, too, since is it so slow. As for the Fast and Furious….I, personally do not like it at all. But that’s just me. And that’s not stopping me from going to Universal and having a fun day. Please remember, Universal is an entertainment park for EVERYONE……not just you!
The best part of The Fast & Furious ride is going through the garage while waiting to get on the ride…the ride itself was extremely disappointing – video games have better CGI and graphics! The Jimmy Fallon ride is quite fun…it’s a must ride for every one of our family trips to Universal! It’s a great option for those that aren’t too keen to roller-coaster type rides.
They never should have removed Back to The Future and Jaws. I like the update to Kong and that they updated the monster but still left some original.
The Jimmy Fallon ride is a waste of time. If you are there for a week and covered every inch of property, then I would go in just to get out of the sun.
Jimmy Fallon is one of the best simple rides at the parks, usually a short line and the feeling of weightlessness you get several times throughout the ride is awesome!! Very underrated ride IMO.
Not a fast and furious fan but it didn’t replace JAWS that was Diagon alley. Fast and Furious did replace Disaster and the Beetlejuice show. I’m fine with jimmy Fallon grate for family that have kids not big enough to ride the rides or just doesn’t want to. But I do agree Fast and Furious should be replaced.
I enjoyed the Jimmy Fallon ride. I went V.I.P and we just walked through F&F and seen the cars. Didn’t even know there was a ride. Guess it wasn’t worth riding.
F&F is fun to ride just to make fun of how bad the CGI is (woo that helicopter sequence). The Jimmy Fallon ride is utterly boring if you aren’t an expert on all his inside jokes, and it’s one of the worst rides in any of the theme parks for causing nausea even if you don’t usually get motion sick. Add in how Universal has too many screen-based rides and it’s a no brainer that it should be trashed and replaced with something actually worth the space.
The Jimmy Fallon ride sucked almost as much as the Jimmy Fallon Show. It should be easy for Universal to find a good replacement. If not, tell them to give me a call.
Comments for Universal Fans Call For Removal Of Controversial Ride

I am a Big NBC fan love the replica of the NBC building. The Jimmy Fallon show is Awesome.
Mark
Boy, all you Karens…unreal…
Chris
Think you’re on the wrong article. Disney is –> That way.
Tom Muller
race through New York is one of the top 5 rides in orlando! this article doesn’t explain why anyone dislikes it.
Robbie
THIS!
WHY are they controversial? That’s different than some simply not liking them.
Deana Short
My family and I really enjoyed the Jimmy Fallon ride. I would hate to see it go.
Gary
They sort of explain it, people are missing the Twister ride.
Chris B
Karens are people that complain. This article is about people that complain. He’s on the right article.
PJ
Karens are women with the first name of Karen. Quit using people’s name as a cuss word. It’s not very nice.

Complaining about people complaining ( ” Karen’s ” ) 😂
That’s some fun my irony.

I never rode either ride, but I did like the jaws ride, they could have up dated it like the did kong.
Jay
Well said Kyle
Harry
Jimmy Fallon ride is absolute garbage of a ride, and does not belong in a theme park. The queue is cool, but that’s it. Worst ride ever
dw
I agree, Jimmy Falon sucks, he is the worst tonight show host ever
Dolores
The Jimmy Fallon ride was my favorite aside from the Hagrid motorcycle ride, and I went on almost every ride in the two parks.

I love both rides if you get rid of them I want my money back for my season tickets

Complain about Jaws being removed all you want, but it’s HP that is currently bringing in boatloads of money.

minions is way worse than jimmy fallon
Mark Kaplan
Maybe on my second and third ride through I’ll probably be bored. But my son loves Minions and at least the ride has some kind of story you can connect with. Jimmy Fallon and Furious do not and leaves you with “That’s it?”

Can someone please explain what is offensive about the ride? The article didn’t and so I’m confused.

Removing Jaws was nowhere near a mystifying decision. It never lived up to the potential it was shooting for. That’s the weirdest take of the day.

Jimmy Fallon is one of our top favorites! We visit that attraction multiple times each visit.
