I think they should have kept the Donkey interaction with the people outside the attraction. It was hilarious when Donkey would crack on people walking by or talking to him. I will miss that.

The meet and greet is still there.

I thought I read somewhere that they got rid of that too being apart of Shrek. My mistake for assuming.

I loved it when it was hannah barbera with flintstones and jetsons. Bring that back.

How bout the true timely classics? Shadow puppets! formed with the character that started it all? The peace sign, erm I mean photobomb the bunny! Let’s see a ride on that!

Universal needs bring back The Back to the Future Ride along with the store and restaurant. Loved that area. Now I just walk by it altogether. Never once went on the Simpsons.
Also, they need to restore the Hanna Barbera ride; that was so much better.
    Bring back Ghost Busters, too.

The BTTF ride is past it’s due date…Hanna Barbera….. where do you suggest that go? The Minions are in that building…and in case you hadn’t noticed, there’s a rollercoaster going through the Ghostbusters building….you may not like what I’m about to say, but Universal was always about the next big thing, they didn’t do the nostalgia thing(there’s a place for that 10 miles in the other direction…if you can afford it nowadays)💜💜💜💜

Yet Fast & Furious remains? It’s a ridiculous ride!

I did Shrek 4D at Universal Studios Hollywood …. it was fine for its time (even though it uses an animated short that’s basically a bonus cartoon included with the Shrek2 Home Media release) … but there are other DreamWorks intellectual property that has eclipse Shrek (meanwhile there’s a brand new 3rd Theme Park being built by Universal Studios in Florida and that’s where I feel there will be a DreamWorks Section where Shrek will come back as a modern Dark Ride).

Universal Studios Orlando is doing the right thing by offering up swag, original props, 3D Glasses as fan service (who knows what they will decide to permanently keep and put on display, there’s only so much you can keep stored in a warehouse before it takes up too much room).

I will wait to see what Universal Studios Orlando does with that Show Building (hopefully something that excites Park Guests).

I must admit that I do miss Back to the Future (maybe that will return as an Attraction at the 3rd Theme Park under construction), Terminator T2 3D Battle Across Time (again more intellectual property that could end up at the 3rd Theme Park), The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera (hey I ♥️’d this Simulator Attraction, too – I don’t know if team Universal can get the intellectual property from Warner Bros, if they can? this belongs in Island of Adventure next to the other cartoon related Attractions & Rides).

Everybody’s offered up their opinions which I appreciate (you miss Shrek, you ♥️ Donkey who is still there, there’s intellectual property used before that needs to be used today).

Hanna Barbera does NOT belong in IOA. If you pay attention, with the exception of Diagon Alley, everything in Studios is based on screen-based (movies and TV) themes , and even Diagon Alley is the movie version. IOA is based on things that started as books or comics. They are even themed to the print versions most of the time.

Probably going to be same kind of ride, just under a new name. Shrek is probably more popular then kung fu panda. I think they ask the visitors what kind of ride they’d be interested in, since we are the ones who ride them.

So I was JUST there this weekend and it still looked like Shrek but with the walls up. I even was able to get photos with Donkey and my children. So it hasn’t completely gone away.

It’s been two months since the ride closed, so they aren’t exactly rushing to remove everything. And the building doesn’t look “decrepit”, just under construction as they prepare it for a new facade.

They sell a DvD called Shreck 3D that comes with 3D glasses that is the same exact cartoon short that they show in Shreck 4D for anyone who wants to enjoy it still
