I am disappointed that a minority of people, with probably many of them never having ridden Spalsh Mountain, could be allowed to demand changes to this ride.
It’s bad enough Song Of The South has been long blacklisted because of the myth that it depicts slavery, but, to change an iconic ride for no other reason than a few belly achers is going too far.

I don’t think it was that small of a minority…most people I’ve talked with are thrilled about the change. I’m glad that Disney is using the good bones of a great ride to tell a better story for more modern audiences. My kids will actually recognize and connect with the characters and story, now!

Really your kids can’t don’t connect with a rabbit, fox and bear cartoon characters. Weird

Leave Splash Mountain as Walt planned it!

Im not happy about the change. Its one of our favorite rides. DisneyWorld has so much land i don’t understand why they just can’t build a ride for princess somewhere else on property. Add rides to the these parks, don’t change them. That’s another ride i probably will skip just like them taking away the great movie ride. They had room to build a star wars themed land, why couldn’t they add another ride as well. I wasnt happy when they got rid of mr toad either.

The petitions say other wise. It’s not even close. #SaveSplashMountain

It’s very disappointing. The princess and the frog was a flop and to change and iconic ride to satisfy a small minority woke mob us shameful.

The frog princess movie has become much more popular since it’s been showing on the Disney channel. Most children today do not know the stories of Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox or Brer Bear, so I do understand changing the ride. Let’s face it, though – it’s really all about the drop and getting wet!
