Not only do I think it’s disrespectful to leave garbage for someone else to pick up… I think it’s disgusting that you think that it’s Okay as well as others in your party to just up and leave your scraps all over…You must have a maid at home…
And everyone wants to complain about rising prices, but this type of carelessness only ultimately adds costs to the company that has to pay an employee (or cast member) to clean up. We live in a sad disrespectful society these days.
No I don’t believe this adds to the rising costs. They want to make record amount of profits, it’s disgusting ! Leaving a mess because you pay so much money doesn’t trickle to the spike raising the prices, it gives more work to the underpaid hard working employees! If we all would boycot Disney for a year because of the outrageous prices and not bringing the expensive things back that our admission ticket pays for like Fantasmic, Disney would lower their prices! Sadly, people still go and get price gouged!
Then we should also boycott gas station s and grocery stores. Lets face it inflation is out of control in all parts of life and very few are being paid appropriately in order to keep up with the cost of living.
I just bought three day passes for $179. Fantasmic isn’t back yet but The Main Street Electrical Parade,World of Color, and Forever Fireworks are all back. The trams are running. Things are getting back to normal slowly but surely.
Maybe, guests leaving trash is a way for a guest to say they are not having magical day. When you go to a restaurant, you do not need to clean up your trash.
I’m sorry?!?! Yes, just as with any fast food kind of restaurant you need to clean up after yourself. That’s a rude and horrible attitude towards people that are not hired to clean up your disgusting mess.
Only if you want to be a good person. It’s sick how the attitudes have changed since I don’t know when. I’m ashamed of the way I have seen the public change. I try to clean up an area if Insee this sort of disprespec, especially if Inam with my Grandchildren. Leave it better than you found it….
I feel sorry for the cast members that have to clean up the mess, but so long as that moron is running the company then everybody should be as much like pig says they won’t be. He needs to hire more cast members to clean up the trash he’s created. There is no need to try to be respectful when you’re paying for the privilege to be disrespectful. And that’s what chapek it said in many words. It’s all about the money. Not the experience anymore. Money money money money money.
What came first, Disney’s price gouging or guests acting entitled. I can understand some people acting entitled after they spend $10,000 for vacation at Disney only to spend most of it standing in line to get on grossly overcrowded rides. Maybe this is their way of protesting. Message to Disney: “You give us your garbage and we’ll give you ours.”
I’m not justifying it, but rather just saying what some people might be thinking. On the other hand, they could just be selfish slobs.
NEVER should anyone act entitled! What is wrong with our society? I pay too much so therefore I can act like a pig & ass? We’re humans not animals. Be respectful, when you eat & make a mess, clean up after yourself & throw away the trash! Who wants to sit there after someone makes that kind of mess?! Someone else will pick up after me is downright ignorant & rude behavior our & simple. I’d want my kids to be respectful as well so what are they teaching their children? Do as you please at no one else’s expense or time. Embarrassing. We look like a horrible uncaring society.
I used to work as a housekeeper, that is why I retire. People have no consideration for others, and that is nothing compared to the disgusting trashy room that some people leave behind
This is what you get when you raise your price of admission into the realm of “the privileged” upper class. You owe them for their attendance. They don’t have time to do the labor force’s job.
The choices made by guests to be this level of *messy*, takes so much time to get back up to Disney standards. Which in turn takes away from taking care of other guests.
We are short, we are tired.
We care, but the expectations need to be managed and mutual respect would be appreciated.
Hi Cooper, 100% agree with you, this mess left by Guests is so disrespectful and lazy, the trash left on that table does match the lazy trash that left it that way.
Sorry for the cast members that had to clear this up – not fair on them.
Simply put, if you attended a party, a picnic in the park or went to a friend’s house for lunch, it’s hard to believe you wouldn’t feel ashamed leaving this type of mess. Treat people the way you want treated.
This is not the fault of the hard working cast members! This is not a reason to take it out on them. Be a decent human being and clean up after yourself.
That’s trifling that they dined and left the remaining leftovers for custodial cast members to clean up. Guess they weren’t taught to clean behind themselves or just didn’t gaf.
Robb please take your comments & go away. We don’t need political issues on here. This is plain bad manners of people who think everyone else should clean up.after them.
Okay, it is not nice to leave that mess, but I can see how it happened. From what I can see is that there are least 3 kids based on the milk. I can also see that the kids had a complete meltdown. Food quality is just gross. So now you have a family spending over $100 for a meal that the kiddos won’t eat. Add to that the crowds, wait times , money.and stress. Now you have an unhappy family that this meal was the absolute last straw. Just saying. I understand that CMs are overworked and tired. The solution is simple. Disney doesn’t need to pack them in like sardines and they need to serve a decent meal.
I also imagine the frustration trying to get the food in the first place. Yesterday we waited 40 minutes for our Meals at Casey’s. It was a mobile order. 1/2 hour outside and an additional 10 minutes when they said it was ready. We were told the wait would be longer if we bypassed the mobile order. It was just the two of us. I cannot imagine the frustration if you had young kids and had to wait around this amount of time.
Just came back from Disney world I have been there probably 12 times in my 68 years. Never will I visit again. Rude workers. Lazy workers. Yes we must clean up our messes but I have never seen Disney this messy . The wait for a simple hotdog was 45 minutes. The gas station at buc ceys was cleaner .Walt is turning over in his grave
There is absolutely no way you mobile ordered a hotdog and it took 40 minutes.
They’re tired, over worked -6 days a week with a day of and sometimes 11 days in a row.
They never seem to be thanked for what they do and only complained about but they keep coming back. Why? They hold out hope to see people enjoy the magic that, had they had to pay to get in, couldn’t afford.
William,
I wouldn’t go as far as saying that this commenter is lying. I am a DVC member and this is the lowest cast member moral I’ve ever seen, which translates to how guests are treated. I’ve had several short and snippy answers from cast members lately, and the parks are packed with wait times in the 2 hour range for most major rides. The parks are severely understaffed and it is causing multiple issues with both food and cast moral because of overwork. The company really should focus on paying their workers a fair amount and hiring a complete staff rather than running on skeleton crews. It is sad that the cast members end up taking a lot of the blame though.
Casey’s corner was the only place not requiring mobile ordering when I was there in October. Forced mobile orders and app usage, another reason we are not renewing annual passes we have had since 2005
Yeah William, we went through the same thing yesterday with the same time wait as the ones you are criticizing We empathize with the workers but don’t call people liars unless you were there with them.
Of course the Bucee’s was cleaner. That is their thing, super clean, especially their bathrooms. Not exactly a fair comparison. And also, Bucee’s is WAY more than just some gas station. Way more.
Just about every time I walked thru Casey’s I would take several trays of garbage to the nearest trashcan. I used to clean the parking lot at a local McD’s, so I sympathize with the Custodial staff at WDW.
Some people feel too entitled to care about their garbage or are used to others cleaning up after them that leaving a mess means nothing. Trying to make people feel bad about this doesn’t work because they honestly don’t care. I’ve work in hotels, restaurants and customer service my entire life. Some people honestly don’t give two spits about service personnel they feel is there to service all of their needs. These are the clientele that Disney is after…rich, entitled guests who spend buckets of cash. Nothing else matters except their wallets.
These guests could have been from another country and just expect to have their trash taken care of after they are done with it. IT is not always Americans that do this! I was sitting next to a group of teens from Argentina one day and they were getting up to leave (the table looked like the one above) I had been talking to them during our meal and I told them they needed to clean up after themselves as it was showing respect in the US. They apologized immediately and cleaned up their mess. They then asked for a cloth to wipe off the table. Sometimes people just don’t know what is expected in that situation. (They apologized to all around them as well.)
I visited Disney one-day Park was only two years old and that was absolutely immaculate. There were fresh floral arrangements in all the hotels and you couldn’t find any dirt anywhere in the Parks.
I am a cast member and disney allows this because they said we are hereto make their vacation as easy as possible. house keepers. experience even worst conditions. used tampons on the floor, toilet unflushed, garbage all over. is Disney’s fault that costumers behave like this
That is truly sad. Even though my last trip in December was AWFUL due to food and one particularly rude cast member (and no response from guest service when I emailed, chatted, called and wrote a letter), this behavior is NOT ok. I agree that the stockholders are money hungry and prices are out of control, but the cast members should not be treated like subservient humans no matter how frustrated guests are. My friend works there and confirms that it is beyond belief how rude the guests have been.
I am a stockholder and please quit blaming us! We visit the parks as well. We also have situations happen and have to deal with them as well. I am more concerned with having happy guests but there are some that no matter what you do they aren’t going to be happy unless you give them a free vacation.
Disney should have seen this coming. Disney made the perfect storm all by themselves. Jack up the prices for everything. Firing half of their staff. Because of Covid. Then re-opening for full capacity and deliberately not re-hiring their former employees so Disney can make bigger profits. Then acting like the guest are suppose to what clean up after themselves, clean their own rooms. You go to that place to have a vacation at the happiest place on earth. Not work there. No one in their right mind pays that kind of money to go to WDW to effing WORK there. That guilt trip crap is just that, CRAP. All of you out there with the guilt trips. UP YOURS !
Seeing this type of behavior more and more. I work in retail and it seems those that feel entitled to make messes at my job have made their way to the Disney parks.
This is a problem everywhere, not just Disney properties. Go into any restaurant these days and you’ll find a family that is so entitled they leave messes like this, the kids eat like slobs, and it just gets worse. We’re allowing this to happen because oh it’s politically incorrect to tell someone that they need to pick up after themselves apparently!
I see this happen every time I’m at Disney which is almost every weekend. Parents let their kids go wild. Disney World is not a place where you can put your parenting skills away and pretend you have no children. Just because you’re on vacation you think you’re entitled to destroy your surroundings? I see parents completely ignore their children and when they leave a restaurant or quick service area, the place looks like a food fight ensued. So uncalled for. Parents, please bring your brains with you on vacation. Do not leave them at home!!!
Exactly. We have 7 children. They are almost all grown, but when they were younger , we would take them out. We’d see the horror on servers faces. Lol. Almost every time, they thanked us for how well behaved and neat they were. There were 7 of them and only 2 of us, so we made certain they knew we meant business when we told them to behave. Parents today seem to want to be their kids friends or just ignore their behavior.
Funny I was thinking when looking at this my mother would be horrified! You should see us at even a full service restaurant, we stack the dishes and put all the trash together for the clean-up. Always putting the dishes at the edge of the tab le for easy pickup:)
My mother made sure we cleaned up after ourselves. the next guest could be a family that needs to sit down. The people who left the mess would complain if someone else left the table a mess.
Disgusting! People are such slobs. I had both my children alone with me at the French bakery at Epcot and the only table available was filled with junk like this one (although not as bad). I had a tray with all 3 of our stuff on it with my little girls right next to me and was having trouble finding a corner of the table to set my stuff on. A nice kind man helped me by cleaning someone else’s garbage up. It’s really not that difficult to clean up after yourselves. No need to be such slobs.
It IS the entitled parents who are raising entitled children! On a visit to WDW, we were in Flying Fish and 5 kids from 2 families, were running around the restaurant. One of the kids knocked my purse off the back of my chair, 2x. I said to the kids to go sit and eat, as their food had arrived. The ‘mother’ stood up and shouted, “Don’t tell my kids what to do! This is F’n Disney, you *itch and my kids can do whatever they want, so shut your F’n mouth! We paid a LOT for this vacation!” (The other ‘mother’ egged her on!) I told her so did everyone else and SHE needed to learn some manners! Left their table a mess & the waiter said they didn’t tip coz he gave them bad service! (He didn’t) Gave me the finger on their way out coz I wouldn’t back down! Her husband dragged her out and told her to knock it off. Bye, Felicia!!! Have a nice life with that attitude! Sad that those kids will grow up the same way!
As a former cast member I worked food and beverage and some of the guests are horrible they allow their children to make messes and they can’t throw their trash away they don’t respect themselves let alone cast members they believe they are so privileged so sad
Not at WDW… years ago we were at Disneyland. I was waiting for my husband and daughter at the Pizza Planet by Space Mt. There was a table with about 8 teenage boys next to me. They started to get up leaving just such mess… I gave them the “Mom” look. Looked at them, looked at the table then back again. One kid said “hey lets clean this up”. Never knew the “Mom” look would work on kids other than my own.
I don’t care how tired you are, I don’t care how many kids you have or what their ages are, I don’t care that you’re on vacation, this just absolute laziness and disgusting behavior. You can take a minute to pick up all the big items all over the floor and put all the garbage on your plate. You can also teach your kids to pick up and help you. Even a toddler can be told pick up a napkin.
I am appalled that any decent human beings could leave a table and floor like that. I’m at a loss for words and the thoughts I have are staying in my head hope I never see this at a park
Oh my what pigs. How dare they. Pick up after your darn self. They should of been thrown out. This is not disney way. I dont under people like this. A time I ever get to go is a treat and keep everything neat as Walt would want. Disrespectful jerks. Bless the visitor person that clean it up after these morons.
This is not indicative of Theme parks, it’s everywhere. People in general are more rude, lack of manners and trashy. Go into restaurants, stores or national parks you’ll see it. Trash everywhere, graffiti, kids running amok while parents glued to their phones…disgusting behavior. I saw a woman with 3 kids in Dollar General shopping, she paused to answer a text while her kids proceeded to tear the toy aisle up, knocked stuff off shelves, stepped on crayons, opened sticker packages and threw them down. When cashier asked them to stop and where’s your parent she came around the corner, yelled at the cashier then left. Left her full cart and mess behind!
I was in Magic Kingdom first week of February. I have a video of the jungle cruise que area that looks about the same. Trash all around the trees…area along the water.
It’s definitely not the Disney of years past and I am sad to say it
I was just at Disney beginning of February too and didn’t see any garbage. Maybe a stray mask here or there but also several people picking up trash as well. Stayed an entire week. I also went 22 years ago and i don’t remember trash then either.
I can’t believe people are justifying this type of rude behavior by saying it’s ok because it’s somehow sticking it to Disney. That kind of garbage attitude is worse than the garbage you are leaving behind on the table. The only thing you are sticking it to are the hardworking overworked underpaid cast members and you are just making their lives even harder. So bravo on your selfish attitudes. I hope you teach your children better.
This is nothing people I’m at housekeeper at one of the Disney resorts !! You want to talk about people living like pigs add leaving stuff trash food chocolate popcorn gummies dirty diapers poop on the bathroom floor walls and tubs 😎😎
Hi. The pictures say it all. It is an example of how low our society has become. I feel the root cause is the concept of discipline at all ages has been rejected. I’m thankful most comments are outraged like me. I feel sorry for the Disney employees, and plan to be extra nice to them on my next visit to WDW. God Bless America is much needed!
Are you surprised the way that this new generation has been raised. And the trend that the world is taken. We need to get back to our core values. And relearn manners.
These kinds of people are the first ones to complain if their room isn’t clean, so its no surprised that they left a mess. They think its beneath them to clean up their mess and preach that is why they have maints to clean up their mess. Trust me I see this everyday at my job, because I clean up after people who act in the same fashion.
Disney has to consider defining the capacity of the parks in order to serve well. Raising prices and lowering the customer service quantity is not The answer. Something in not right. They are killing the experience!
In the short term maybesome share holders are happy…in the long term …..
I don’t know where you were raised but is very rude and disrespectful and leave a mess like that not the cast members fault if they were having and not magical day
This isn’t just Disney. Actually I’ve been to Disneyland several times recently and it’s been clean. Anyway, this problem is everywhere. My husband owns a restaurant and a woman peed on the chair and floor while she was eating. Disgusting, entitled slobs are everywhere, not just in the parks.
This tops them all..
Was having lunch at Sunshine Seasons at the Land Pavillion. Looked at woman two tables over, changing a baby’s diaper, right on the table. Mind you, the restrooms were just a few feet away. Needless to say, that was disgusting and beyond unsanitary. Alerted Cast member who advised guest this was not acceptable in the food area. Then other cast members completely disinfected the table, chairs, and surrounding area. Talk about pigs! YUCK.
I’ve called people out. Yes it was me following you saying HEY!! your mom doesn’t work here, clean up your mess and while you are at it, learn table manners. You don’t drop food on the floor. *I talked calmly and embarrassed them*.
I don’t work for Disney, but at a hotel near and it’s the same everywhere lately. We’re working as two people each person on staff for the huge crowds we’ve been getting. And you’re right, people are worse than before, very entitled
There is leaving your table cluttered with trash and then there is throwing your mess all over place and the floor and not cleaning up. There is no justification, rationalization or cause for this type of disrespect. There are cameras all over the place, they should have asked these people to leave the park for cause. Vandalism…is not just breaking stuff. Really sad individuals who did this.
Americans have, over the years, become absolute slobs in public. From food to clothing choices we have steadily gone down hill. All in the name of “freedom”.
I certainly don’t condone that type of action, but if every park guest did this just may be Bob Paychek would get the message that people are upset with his management of the Di$ney Company! Sometimes action is the only means to send a message, just ask the BLM!
Guests don’t feel the same as they use to. Disney has changed completely. Its not the Disney Walt created. There are still some Cast members that are still there that make your day magical. Not many. The cost of going to a Disney park is out of control. The food available is not as good as it should be. I read an article yesterday that said…” we saved for two years to take a magical once in a lifetime vacation and it ended up being the worst vacation ever.” Its just gone. The magic is gone. You can’t even just get in line to get a dole whip anymore. You have to use an app. Thats just stupid. There’s not as many menus choices either.the cost seems to go up every 3 months. And then they want you to pay for a “Genie” or whatever. No more fast passes. No more nothing. Its pathetic. AND they’re doing less for the Cast Members that work there. All that matters to Disney is the Shareholders.
For what people pay to come to Disney, they can tour through all the other theme parks and have a greater time and also explore the greatness of Florida. Universal, SeaWorld, Busch gardens, and visit the beaches, natural springs, dining, etc. It’s a disappointment for people because they have to add more money in than originally planned.
I find it more disgusting and disrespectful the greed you have to continue having your parks over crowded. This is the results of your over crowded parks. You continue to raise your prices ridiculously and have no care for your guest but only your pockets. We don’t enjoy MK or any of your parks in Orlando. It’s not worthy of my money and I hope you do start to lose customers.
We were at Star Wars ride, standing in line a young Indonesian boy threw his napkin in the bushes. I clapped my hands and told him “we don’t do that here”.. dad made him get it out and put in wastebasket.
I have been attending Disney since 1962. I am 72 and now live in Orlando. I have an annual pass and I am impressed with so many of the changes, BUT the stroller traffic is horrendous! The very large strollers for two to sit side by side should be band based on the proportion of walk way used to accommodate two children. They should be double back to back and not side to side! Plus many of the drivers/pushers are determined to get through crowds at any cost!
They’re doing that everywhere. I work in flamingo crossing at a small hotel that has free breakfast, and they do this everyday. So i definitely can relate with cast members, it is indeed disrespectful, but people will never change and don’t care. Hospitality is ending for this very reason and various others.
Unfortunately, this sort of behavior isn’t new. I worked in a restaurant back in the 70’s and 80’s and there were a-holes who left their tables like this back then. They were also usually the ones who tipped crappy.
For the prices they make people pay I wouldn’t clean anything. That may not be fair to the employees but if Disney doesn’t care about their employees why should the customers? They should all quit and none take a job from them until they pay a real wage.
This is a WDW thing. I had been to Disneyland hundreds of times before my first trip to Orlando. I was shocked to see people just throwing their trash on the ground. I guess you just find a better class of people in Southern California. We don’t treat our park like a garbage can.
While I understand what they are saying, as a cast members their job to assist guests, if that means cleaning up another guests mess, then so be it. We were at DW quite long ago. We went to Pecos Bill for lunch. While on way to order a mentally challenged man in a wheel chair ran me over! The reason I am telling you this. Anyone who is on wheelchair is to have someone else to help out if the individual needs assistance. No one with him, and the CM were very slow to respond. They got me a wheelchair and that was it. No “how are you?” “Do you need first aid?”. I was truly upset with DW employees and really pissed at the management. And since that time, I realized that the magic is gone and it is just the money.
Ha, I’m a housekeeper for rental homes (cabins usually) and damn, if I got on the news every time someone left a huge mess I’d be famous. I hate people, how can they think it’s okay to leave messes like this
Ha, I’m a housekeeper for rental homes (like cabins usually) and if I was in an article every time someone left a huge mess, I’d be famous. I hate people how can they think it’s okay to leave a mess like this
Disgusting and infuriating! When I was at Magic Kingdom last, someone left their leftover food (including spilled ketchup) on one of the outdoor seating areas in Fantasyland and there was a trash receptacle not that far away. I guess they think someone will come along and clean up after them. Makes me so angry especially when I read comments on social media blaming cast members for not keeping the parks clean enough.

Juanita@ymail.co
This is not a normal behavior of a decent caring human being. If you allow your spoiled brat to do this obviously your parenting skills is zero.
Jan
Why does it have to be political? Rather rude of you! There are obviously rude people on both sides and they all need to grow up and become adults!
Rita
Just came back from Disney world I have been there probably 12 times in my 68 years. Never will I visit again. Rude workers. Lazy workers. Yes we must clean up our messes but I have never seen Disney this messy . The wait for a simple hotdog was 45 minutes. The gas station at buc ceys was cleaner .Walt is turning over in his grave
William
There is absolutely no way you mobile ordered a hotdog and it took 40 minutes.
They’re tired, over worked -6 days a week with a day of and sometimes 11 days in a row.
They never seem to be thanked for what they do and only complained about but they keep coming back. Why? They hold out hope to see people enjoy the magic that, had they had to pay to get in, couldn’t afford.
Stop making stuff up and just say thank you.
Tyler
William,
I wouldn’t go as far as saying that this commenter is lying.
Qwerty
Casey’s corner was the only place not requiring mobile ordering when I was there in October. Forced mobile orders and app usage, another reason we are not renewing annual passes we have had since 2005
Bob
Yeah William, we went through the same thing yesterday with the same time wait as the ones you are criticizing We empathize with the workers but don’t call people liars unless you were there with them.
Leuk
Of course the Bucee’s was cleaner. That is their thing, super clean, especially their bathrooms. Not exactly a fair comparison. And also, Bucee’s is WAY more than just some gas station. Way more.
Matthew Brewster
Just about every time I walked thru Casey’s I would take several trays of garbage to the nearest trashcan. I used to clean the parking lot at a local McD’s, so I sympathize with the Custodial staff at WDW.
Heather Warner
Some people feel too entitled to care about their garbage or are used to others cleaning up after them that leaving a mess means nothing. Trying to make people feel bad about this doesn’t work because they honestly don’t care. I’ve work in hotels, restaurants and customer service my entire life. Some people honestly don’t give two spits about service personnel they feel is there to service all of their needs. These are the clientele that Disney is after…rich, entitled guests who spend buckets of cash. Nothing else matters except their wallets.
Qwerty
Affording Disney does not make you “rich and entitled” and wealth doesn’t make you uncaring. Put your broad brush away.
Jan
These guests could have been from another country and just expect to have their trash taken care of after they are done with it. IT is not always Americans that do this! I was sitting next to a group of teens from Argentina one day and they were getting up to leave (the table looked like the one above) I had been talking to them during our meal and I told them they needed to clean up after themselves as it was showing respect in the US. They apologized immediately and cleaned up their mess. They then asked for a cloth to wipe off the table. Sometimes people just don’t know what is expected in that situation. (They apologized to all around them as well.)
Carolyn d
I visited Disney one-day Park was only two years old and that was absolutely immaculate. There were fresh floral arrangements in all the hotels and you couldn’t find any dirt anywhere in the Parks.
luis
I am a cast member and disney allows this because they said we are hereto make their vacation as easy as possible. house keepers. experience even worst conditions. used tampons on the floor, toilet unflushed, garbage all over. is Disney’s fault that costumers behave like this
StitchWitch
That is truly sad. Even though my last trip in December was AWFUL due to food and one particularly rude cast member (and no response from guest service when I emailed, chatted, called and wrote a letter), this behavior is NOT ok. I agree that the stockholders are money hungry and prices are out of control, but the cast members should not be treated like subservient humans no matter how frustrated guests are. My friend works there and confirms that it is beyond belief how rude the guests have been.
Jan
I am a stockholder and please quit blaming us! We visit the parks as well. We also have situations happen and have to deal with them as well. I am more concerned with having happy guests but there are some that no matter what you do they aren’t going to be happy unless you give them a free vacation.
Randy Hodo
UP YOURS !
Patty
People are shockingly selfish and entitled at times. Wow. Just ZERO excuse for that type of behavior if you’re over the age of 3.
VGK
Seeing this type of behavior more and more. I work in retail and it seems those that feel entitled to make messes at my job have made their way to the Disney parks.
Be Nice
Sorry ZERO excuse at ANY age! If you are not old enough to know better your parents should be teaching you!
DRoberts
This is a problem everywhere, not just Disney properties. Go into any restaurant these days and you’ll find a family that is so entitled they leave messes like this, the kids eat like slobs, and it just gets worse. We’re allowing this to happen because oh it’s politically incorrect to tell someone that they need to pick up after themselves apparently!
Jill Cotich
I see this happen every time I’m at Disney which is almost every weekend. Parents let their kids go wild. Disney World is not a place where you can put your parenting skills away and pretend you have no children. Just because you’re on vacation you think you’re entitled to destroy your surroundings? I see parents completely ignore their children and when they leave a restaurant or quick service area, the place looks like a food fight ensued. So uncalled for. Parents, please bring your brains with you on vacation. Do not leave them at home!!!
Stephanie
My children would never leave such a mess as this. We’ve raised them to clean up after themselves.
Erjen
Be Nice
Funny I was thinking when looking at this my mother would be horrified! You should see us at even a full service restaurant, we stack the dishes and put all the trash together for the clean-up. Always putting the dishes at the edge of the tab le for easy pickup:)
Tiffany
My mother made sure we cleaned up after ourselves. the next guest could be a family that needs to sit down. The people who left the mess would complain if someone else left the table a mess.
Stephanie
DianeMRL
Gloria
Wow she should of been taken by the security for threatening you. Thrown out of the park. What a jerk.
Virginia
As a former cast member I worked food and beverage and some of the guests are horrible they allow their children to make messes and they can’t throw their trash away they don’t respect themselves let alone cast members they believe they are so privileged so sad
AB
Not at WDW… years ago we were at Disneyland. I was waiting for my husband and daughter at the Pizza Planet by Space Mt. There was a table with about 8 teenage boys next to me. They started to get up leaving just such mess… I gave them the “Mom” look. Looked at them, looked at the table then back again. One kid said “hey lets clean this up”. Never knew the “Mom” look would work on kids other than my own.
Stacey
I don’t care how tired you are, I don’t care how many kids you have or what their ages are, I don’t care that you’re on vacation, this just absolute laziness and disgusting behavior. You can take a minute to pick up all the big items all over the floor and put all the garbage on your plate. You can also teach your kids to pick up and help you. Even a toddler can be told pick up a napkin.
Gloria
So true 👍 self entitled jerks
Barbara
I am appalled that any decent human beings could leave a table and floor like that. I’m at a loss for words and the thoughts I have are staying in my head hope I never see this at a park
Gloria
Oh my what pigs. How dare they. Pick up after your darn self. They should of been thrown out. This is not disney way. I dont under people like this. A time I ever get to go is a treat and keep everything neat as Walt would want. Disrespectful jerks. Bless the visitor person that clean it up after these morons.
Mary
Jessica
How embarrassing! I would be mortified if that happened with my kids. That poor cashier.
Lynne
I was in Magic Kingdom first week of February. I have a video of the jungle cruise que area that looks about the same. Trash all around the trees…area along the water.
It’s definitely not the Disney of years past and I am sad to say it
Jessica
I was just at Disney beginning of February too and didn’t see any garbage. Maybe a stray mask here or there but also several people picking up trash as well. Stayed an entire week. I also went 22 years ago and i don’t remember trash then either.
Kevin S
I can’t believe people are justifying this type of rude behavior by saying it’s ok because it’s somehow sticking it to Disney. That kind of garbage attitude is worse than the garbage you are leaving behind on the table. The only thing you are sticking it to are the hardworking overworked underpaid cast members and you are just making their lives even harder. So bravo on your selfish attitudes. I hope you teach your children better.
Jordan
Why is this news?
No ya
This is nothing people I’m at housekeeper at one of the Disney resorts !! You want to talk about people living like pigs add leaving stuff trash food chocolate popcorn gummies dirty diapers poop on the bathroom floor walls and tubs 😎😎
Ken Brenner
Carly Gordon
What jerks that party is. Lazy assess. Clean up after yourselves people god.
Brian
Are you surprised the way that this new generation has been raised. And the trend that the world is taken. We need to get back to our core values. And relearn manners.
Brie
This is nothing new. It was going on 40 years ago, but most people filter that info out of their memories.
Stewart
I wonder if it’s the same group of people running around killing each other?
Brie
If they were killing each other, that would end it pretty quickly, don’tcha think?
Chris Wood
These kinds of people are the first ones to complain if their room isn’t clean, so its no surprised that they left a mess. They think its beneath them to clean up their mess and preach that is why they have maints to clean up their mess. Trust me I see this everyday at my job, because I clean up after people who act in the same fashion.
Alfonso
Goog manners dont come with a wallet full of money.
Alfonso
Disney has to consider defining the capacity of the parks in order to serve well. Raising prices and lowering the customer service quantity is not The answer. Something in not right. They are killing the experience!
In the short term maybesome share holders are happy…in the long term …..
Cindyburkhamer@
I don’t know where you were raised but is very rude and disrespectful and leave a mess like that not the cast members fault if they were having and not magical day
Noel
This isn’t just Disney. Actually I’ve been to Disneyland several times recently and it’s been clean. Anyway, this problem is everywhere. My husband owns a restaurant and a woman peed on the chair and floor while she was eating. Disgusting, entitled slobs are everywhere, not just in the parks.
Maggie McGoun
This tops them all..
Was having lunch at Sunshine Seasons at the Land Pavillion. Looked at woman two tables over, changing a baby’s diaper, right on the table. Mind you, the restrooms were just a few feet away. Needless to say, that was disgusting and beyond unsanitary. Alerted Cast member who advised guest this was not acceptable in the food area. Then other cast members completely disinfected the table, chairs, and surrounding area. Talk about pigs! YUCK.
Saralee
I’ve called people out. Yes it was me following you saying HEY!! your mom doesn’t work here, clean up your mess and while you are at it, learn table manners. You don’t drop food on the floor. *I talked calmly and embarrassed them*.
Mickeymouse3
Too bad Disney doesn’t use their camera system to identify these slobs and call them out on social media.
ZanderFox
I’m a busser at Disneyland and I see this kind of mess almost on a daily basis.
We often get callouts and short staffed at the restaurant I work at.
I love to keep making magic, but this current situation has gotten crazy at domestic Disney theme parks.
Society as a whole has been going downhill and more entitled, and selfish than before.
I try my best whenever I work…
Dove
I don’t work for Disney, but at a hotel near and it’s the same everywhere lately. We’re working as two people each person on staff for the huge crowds we’ve been getting. And you’re right, people are worse than before, very entitled
Teri
There is leaving your table cluttered with trash and then there is throwing your mess all over place and the floor and not cleaning up. There is no justification, rationalization or cause for this type of disrespect. There are cameras all over the place, they should have asked these people to leave the park for cause. Vandalism…is not just breaking stuff. Really sad individuals who did this.
David
Americans have, over the years, become absolute slobs in public. From food to clothing choices we have steadily gone down hill. All in the name of “freedom”.
John DeJones
I certainly don’t condone that type of action, but if every park guest did this just may be Bob Paychek would get the message that people are upset with his management of the Di$ney Company! Sometimes action is the only means to send a message, just ask the BLM!
TONI C.
Gina
I agree … Well said
Dove
For what people pay to come to Disney, they can tour through all the other theme parks and have a greater time and also explore the greatness of Florida. Universal, SeaWorld, Busch gardens, and visit the beaches, natural springs, dining, etc. It’s a disappointment for people because they have to add more money in than originally planned.
Gina
I find it more disgusting and disrespectful the greed you have to continue having your parks over crowded. This is the results of your over crowded parks. You continue to raise your prices ridiculously and have no care for your guest but only your pockets. We don’t enjoy MK or any of your parks in Orlando. It’s not worthy of my money and I hope you do start to lose customers.
Joyce
We were at Star Wars ride, standing in line a young Indonesian boy threw his napkin in the bushes. I clapped my hands and told him “we don’t do that here”.. dad made him get it out and put in wastebasket.
GamerNerdess
Probably were dindus.
Brie
What the f are dindus?
Kristine
I have been attending Disney since 1962. I am 72 and now live in Orlando. I have an annual pass and I am impressed with so many of the changes, BUT the stroller traffic is horrendous! The very large strollers for two to sit side by side should be band based on the proportion of walk way used to accommodate two children. They should be double back to back and not side to side! Plus many of the drivers/pushers are determined to get through crowds at any cost!
Lisa
Worked in food and beverage at Disney and this was a common occurrence.
Dove
They’re doing that everywhere. I work in flamingo crossing at a small hotel that has free breakfast, and they do this everyday. So i definitely can relate with cast members, it is indeed disrespectful, but people will never change and don’t care. Hospitality is ending for this very reason and various others.
Brie
Unfortunately, this sort of behavior isn’t new. I worked in a restaurant back in the 70’s and 80’s and there were a-holes who left their tables like this back then. They were also usually the ones who tipped crappy.
Zac.D
For the prices they make people pay I wouldn’t clean anything. That may not be fair to the employees but if Disney doesn’t care about their employees why should the customers? They should all quit and none take a job from them until they pay a real wage.
Michael Bulich
This is a WDW thing. I had been to Disneyland hundreds of times before my first trip to Orlando. I was shocked to see people just throwing their trash on the ground. I guess you just find a better class of people in Southern California. We don’t treat our park like a garbage can.
Dianne
🙂
Andrea
Dianne
So very disrespectful! They don’t deserve to be there
Lauren
Ha, I’m a housekeeper for rental homes (cabins usually) and damn, if I got on the news every time someone left a huge mess I’d be famous. I hate people, how can they think it’s okay to leave messes like this
Lauren
Ha, I’m a housekeeper for rental homes (like cabins usually) and if I was in an article every time someone left a huge mess, I’d be famous. I hate people how can they think it’s okay to leave a mess like this
Lindsay
Disgusting and infuriating! When I was at Magic Kingdom last, someone left their leftover food (including spilled ketchup) on one of the outdoor seating areas in Fantasyland and there was a trash receptacle not that far away. I guess they think someone will come along and clean up after them. Makes me so angry especially when I read comments on social media blaming cast members for not keeping the parks clean enough.
