Of course they are. Prices way up and quality way down. It’s what they are going to be known for after the Bob Cheapskate era. Look at their new flagship Star Wars hotel. High priced crap.
Disney has made it quite clear they want only rich attendees. No maintenance means downed rides with no limits for price hikes. Now out of reach for Joe average family, it’s original intention
As soon as you book something with Disney they have their hand in your pocket until you get home. Their prices are outrageous but it seems that no matter what people will shell out .
I used to be a huge Disney fan going to Disney World frequently. It’s no longer the same magical experience it once was. Walt would be in tears. The food is pedestrian and absurdly over priced. You could have a fabulous vacation in Hawaii or Europe for HALF of what a week in WDW would cost.
We were at Magic Kingdom a couple weeks ago. Prices are ridiculous. You would have thought it was Christmas the crowds are so bad. Wait times were 2to3hours on some rides. Won’t be going back!
I haven’t been since 2016 now I’m unsure. Pandemic pushed it back from 2020 but we planned to go at the end of the year. After hearing so many bad things I’m worried about wasting so much money and be miserable. Might just do Universal instead.
Wow a whopping $14-$15 increase. Oh the horror. Love how people on here are saying Disney is ‘greedy’ in doing this. Prices are going up for EVERYTHING people. It’s called inflation.
Kevin M Sharkey, I think you must be Bob Chapek or at least a relative of his, inflation is one thing, BUT Disney Price hikes Charges are on another level, I think you would blindly follow Disney whatever they did, as you are very clearly Brain Washed.
High Prices, lower quality, double charging, reduced services but still the costs go up. This board is nothing short of Gangster what a racket they are running, you cannot keep defending the undependable.
So don’t go to the parks or spend your money on Disney merchandise or see any of their movies etc etc. No one is a holding a gun o your head forcing you to. But I am sure you will rush right out to see the next big Marvel or Star Wars movie and probably subscribe to Disney+ though. And I am sure you spend more on coffee in one week then the $14 increase on a 4 day park ticket. But you go ahead and keep on railing against the ‘big evil corporation’. And I’m the “brainwashed’ one. *eye roll*
No Kevin, it’s called greed, plain and simple. Yes some inflation but that’s another story. You’re are not taking into account that it is a $14.00 AVERAGE increase per person, an average family of 4 people. Also, factor in the parking per day, the food at the parks (which has also increased substantially for that party of four, per day. Also the accommodations which are pricey (if you’re staying onsite). Then there is the Genie+ and Lighting Pass that now makes you get a different Fastpass for a 1 time use on the E-ticket rides (an additional $15 per person for Genie+ and said Lightning Pass prices are variable depending on the day but usually around $15 per ride each. I had Annual passes for 10 years and gave them up this year. It’s steadily been getting worse and worse. Busch Gardens and Universal have both been getting new rollercoasters and attractions at their parks. I have Busch Gardens Annual passes and with Epic Universe opening up in a couple of years, think I may revert back to Universal Orlando Annual passes for a few now.
Way to go “Rob-us” Bob Chapek! Does he wake up every morning thinking how much more he can charge for what’s supposed to be a “family” vacation? Let’s take HIS favorite thing to do and raise it 500%.
Everything I’m seeing about Disney is “Disney raising prices.” Disney is nickel and diming us to death and still paying Chopek, God knows how many millions? Something’s gotta give – and soon.
I bought my 3 children 3 shares of stock in Disney years ago and now we can’t afford to go to the parks. The stock is worth less but Chopek gets his bonus. What’s wrong with this picture when even stockholders (no matter how small) can’t afford go to the parks. Thanks for nothing Chopek. I wish I had my money back even then I could not afford to go to the parks.

So what else is knew?
Idiots will gladly pay because they think it’s nice for the kids. . .
Or because they are gluttony for punishment.
