  1. Until people start withholding their money and telling Disney to stick it, Cheapskate will not bring things back including entertainment. When you get rid of fan favorites like the piano man at Riverside resort and the guide and his dog on the Florida east coast, you know cheapy boy couldn’t give a rats behind.

    1. Linda

You just wrote everything I wanted to say!! Thank you! Disney doesn’t give a crap about anything except more money going into their pockets and outta yours.

    2. Ash

The piano man is still at Riverside! We stayed there last week.

    3. Allison

Exactly people, it sucks now!!! Quit shelling out 7 or 8 grand to fight crowds and get cheap sheets in rooms that cost $700 a night. Disney is loaded!! They are living off their old reputation. Quit packing this place!!!

    4. JMills

This shows how smart that you are because it’s not the Disney isn’t bringing the entertainment back it’s that the entertainers are under Union contract and Disney contract them to work with them. But the union says because of covid-19 entertainers can’t come back. And Disney can’t do anything about it but try and find others and they’re not having a whole lot of luck. So before you bad mouth Disney Try actually doing a little research into what the real problem is instead of assuming that you’re smart enough to know better

      1. Shelby

Well someone has done zero research because if they had they would know that unions aren’t looking to keep people out of work and if there is a reason not to go back it would be that Disney doesn’t want to pay decent wages. If you knew anything about unions or the way they were structured you would know that they fight to ensure people are working and receiving livable wages and if you knew anything about Disney you would know that union or not Disney gets what it wants!

Daily housekeeping! If I’m dropping $800 a night at the Grand Californian, I should not have to complain that our trash is overflowing and we are out of coffee and clean towels. Absolutely ridiculous.

    1. Ec

That has happened since July over at the Yacht Club.

    2. Emily

This! I just stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and thought – I am paying $400/night to live in squalor and reuse towels my kids have already soaked…..

      1. Noname

        Hahaha… “squalor”

      2. Seth

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You’re spending hundreds a night for a luxury while there are literal homeless within a mile of where you’re sleep9ng, yet you call that luxury “squalor”? You need to get your priorities checked. Yeah, you should get what you paid for, but don’t throw a pity party and lie to yourself and other and say you’re living in “squalor”. That’s laughable and disgusting, simultaneously.

    3. JMills

Daily housekeeping means somebody comes in and changes your towels and make sure bed. They still collect your trash daily. The DVC has done it this way for years. If you stay more than 4 days they come change linens and towels.

    4. Jennie

Sorry that was your experience. I stayed there right after Christmas. I was treated so well. Room cleaned every day. Housekeeping asked me everyday if I needed anything extra, shampoos, lotions, coffee, towels, etc…Last year I got a bug and they offered to bring me soup and crackers. Even sanitized my room the next day since we weren’t sure if it was a bug or food poisoning. Always let the hotel manager know if you’re unhappy.

“All of that being said, Disney CEO Bob Chapek has noted that Disney has just experienced their second most profitable quarter yet. Hopefully, with this news publically acknowledged, a lot of these cuts will soon be able to return so that Guests can once again experience the full Disneyland magic.”

😂 All that means is that the cuts and the nickel and diming are working as intended. Nothing’s coming back, Walt’s vision is dead, it’s all about short-term profits for the shareholders now.

    1. Steve S.

      Exactly !

    2. Ann Taylor

Sad and true. That vision can never be duplicated.

      1. Tod

Where you around during Walt, and how do you know how he ran things from a financial angel. Did .Walt haver share holders?

        1. CJA

I was around when Walt was and he’d be appalled at how his parks are being run now. Disney was always expensive but it was a magical experience and well worth the money. Walt would never have been so stingy while running his parks. If you pay top dollar you should get top dollar

      2. Dave

Like donkey rides and sponsor like Monsanto, what a great visioin

    3. Linda

You just wrote everything I wanted to say!! Thank you! Disney doesn’t give a crap about anything except more money going into their pockets and outta yours.

    4. SLN

We just returned for 5 days in Disneyland, a trip we’ve taken every two years since 2007. Even taking into account the challenges of COVID, we were a extremely disappointed and at times shocked with the obvious neglect of the park. There’s no doubt in my mind this is the new standard and we won’t be going back for a long time. Chapek should be ashamed

  4. Michael Shimer

A ride from the parking garage to the gate maybe? If it’s not too much to ask, that is…

  5. Steven

Chapek has succeeded in killing it all. My family has been annual pass holders for 13 years, I’m pretty sure this is the end.
We went to EPCOT last week and it is so evident that the atmosphere has been penny pinched. We used to go to see the mariachi band, the British Revolution, the belly dancers, etc but they’ve all been replaced with either nothing or a vastly cheaper alternative. Now, EPCOT has no atmosphere, just feels like a large expensive gift shop with places to buy food.
It’s sad. Really sad. But Disney exists ONLY for shareholders and margins now. Families and experiences are collateral damage, not part of the decision making.

    1. Next plans from Bob Cheapskate:
      -Robes replaced with housekeeper uniform,
-Please clean your own room on check-out,
-Vacuum the hallway outside your room,
      -You work for me now,
-But you still have to pay us,
      -Profits are very strong,
      -Have a magical day.

    2. Carys

Families won’t want to go. It used to be that four days would be enough to do the majority, if not all the attractions if you utilised FP+ before going, now you have to pay for Genie+ and LL if you want to get at least the big rides done otherwise you will spend the majority of the day in lines, not the magic the kids expected.
It’ll be a one time only trip for the majority, unlike the old days when you were planning the next trip as soon as you got home. AP holders will all be locals, so the number of holdesrs will drop, but, so long as the vloggers are uploading free advertising for Disney on their social media then who cares about anyone else. It’s a shame the vloggers never show the reality of Disney in the 2020s.

      1. Linda

        You ooze anger and jealousy…pitiful.

        1. Kevin

Ok 1%er. Whatever you say. Only thing “pitiful” here is you name calling people who don’t agree with you

        2. Lisa

When is the last time you were there Linda? Because its very expensive now and you don’t get what you pay for anymore.

        3. Laura

No more Magical Express so now you have to pay to get from the airport to your hotel, no FP+, no more dining plans, and the park hopper only allows you to go to a second park at 2 PM. Also, after purchasing theme park tickets, you have to reserve what park you wanna go to that day. I’m a DVC member, and I’m fighting a $500 charge to clean my room! AND Although I’m vaxxed boostered,I think I caught Covid while there, lost two days, and there was no facility for testing. I guess I’ll have to use my vacation points to go anywhere but WDW. There was definitely no magic… So disappointing!

  6. E Marie

I don’t understand why people still go. I used to stay at the WDW resorts in Florida on a regular basis. I have no plan on going back unless/until they go back to the way it was around 5-6 years ago. Prices are astronomical and you get so much less than before.

    1. Linda

I don’t get it either! My sister convinced my Mom to buy the DVC for us in 2002! I wanted no part then. I go every couple of years just to stay at the hotel for a few weeks to relax. Most of the time I just let my sister buy my points. She just went to Hawaii for 2 weeks and had to change hotel rooms every 2 to 3 nights…and she booked a year in advance!!! I absolutely loathe Disney! I hate the way they treat their cast members in addition to how their service to their guests has gotten pathetic! But, people just still continue to go…I’ll never get it!!

      1. Mako

Waaaaaaah. You can go on a three weeks at a time vacation and your sister can go to Hawaii for 2 weeks straight. Excuse me if I don’t feel sorry for you.

  7. Sebastian Hale

I’m hoping to see 🙈🎴 the princess makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the meet and greets with Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella in the Royal Hall scaled back 🔙 this year.

    1. Laura

The meet and greets will disappoint you. The characters stay behind bushes and wave at you. Be prepared

  8. Tod

Because that was one of the cuts made? How did you get this information? And how do you know it’s true?

  9. CJ

Curious how you can justify calling them Budget Cuts when the outgoing CEO received a reported $63 Million Dollar “Bonus” Last Year…..

    1. Kay

Whaaat! My one share of Disney paid less than 30 cents!

  10. Next plans from Bob Cheapskate:
    -Robes replaced with housekeeper uniform,
-Please clean your own room on check-out,
-Vacuum the hallway outside your room,
    -You work for me now,
-But you still have to pay us,
    -Profits are very strong,
    -Have a magical day.

    1. Lisa

      Hahahaha!! 😂😂😂
But its true! I stayed at the Polynesian with kids which included a baby in diapers and we had to take our trash out. Housekeeping never came once!

  11. Scott

The shareholders must have checked their brains at the door. Every dollar made through their short-sighted greed will cost them five dollars in the long-term.
Its incredible how willing Chapek is to test the goodwill of Disney patrons. When it goes south, and it will, Im sure he will still be demanding a hefty exit bonus.

  12. Carys

Bob Chapek is nothing more than a lying con man. I was contemplating treating myself to a stay at the Grand Cali next year, but, I’ll stick to the Anaheim Inn and use the money saved for something else.

  13. Kevin

Oh the indignity!!!!! All you people on here who can spend $800 a night on just a hotel room yet are complaining about your first world problems are ridiculous. Maybe do something worthwhile with your money instead of complaining.

    1. Linda

      You ooze anger and jealousy…pitiful.

      1. Kevin

Nope. I ooze realism. Sorry not sorry if you don’t like it.

  14. Richard Lynn Gordon

We stayed at The Wilderness Lodge from February 5 – 9 for the Festival Of The Arts. This luxury hotel was quite nice but they no longer have individual soaps or shampoos. They are now dispensed from large containers. When we stayed at The Grand Floridian a month earlier for the Christmas season , they still had individual bottles of these things. I can see the dispensers used in less than luxury hotels but the individual containers were one of the things that set those hotels apart. When we stayed at The Grand Floridian in 1989 we bought one of those luxurious bathrobes and still use it to this day.

    1. Jim M

Interesting to read all these posts from people complaining about high costs and less perks and service. The only way to get back at Chapek is not to go! It’s obvious what he’s doing. As long as people continue to go to the parks and stay at their hotels even after all these cuts, nothing will ever get back to the way it used to be. As.long as he’s bringing in record profits, why would he reinstate all these cuts? If you continue to go, then don’t complain!

    2. CJA

Most hotels are going this route to cut down on the amount of plastics being utilized. They were even in the Dream More Resort at Dollywood when we went and at other places we stayed. I will say, however, that what was filled in those large containers was quality stuff.

  15. Jim

Yeah it’s funny they make all these cuts but they sure don’t cut the price of the hotel rooms jack up all the prices on everything they’ll never get my money again I refuse to go back

  16. Cathy

I see alot of ya complaining but Disney can’t get rich if we don’t go and buy the overpriced stuff. Stop supporting Disney black ball them and see how much they appreciate the people then. They don’t understand that we make them rich.

  17. Fed up

Corporate America. I have seen another company run into the ground by the same things that Disney is doing. Now they can’t get anyone to work and have to spend exorbitant amounts just to get employees so it’s a vicious cycle. Disney will never go out of business but they will run it into the ground and there won’t be any more magic around. We used to go All the time with the kids but not anymore. We would rather go to the beach.
Greed.. all I see is buy this buy that. People are blinded and buy the stuff. They can’t see it. Wake up world.

  18. Matthew

I’ve never stayed at Disney hotel due to cost and value.

I’ve stayed in multiple locations around the world paying at most 350dollars for on the beach, mid city and other reason to the price.
For that money I’ve been meet with drinks, taxis full breakfasts buffets offering all kinds of food to fill me for the day.

Since I have and hopefully soon again will continue to visit Disney for the joy of my children and we’ll they joy I as well feel from Disney.
I will probley never stay at a Disney hotel/resort.

Why does everything have to cost more at a Disney hotel?

Disney already makes money on everything else.

Disney should remember quality over quantity but also realize they can beening the biggest entertainment company in the world, they can also offer quantity with quality.

Build you hotels more aqquipet for family’s of 4+
Offer parents the opportunity to realaxe and enjoy their time, instead of counting their pennies.

I see no reason for Disney to up their prices upon demand, simply say sorry we are full.
Keep the prices down, and in the long run more will come.

1 night max 250dollar per family

    Multiple nights should have discount

Of course more expensive rooms should exist, for those with more wealth, but once in and at Disney, money should never reflect upon the children

  19. Mouse-Trap

Stop supporting this Corporation! Stop buying their overpriced products and theme park tickets! Disney will continue to make cuts and make you pay more for less ! Have a Magical Day!!

  20. Ken

So they’re justifying the price increase because of demand, reporting profits but are cutting back amenities in $800/night hotels due to budget cuts? I haven’t been able to since covid but I’m pretty sure I won’t be going back until they reversesome of these decisions

  21. Rachel Winiecki

Until people stop going and tell Disney to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine they’ll just keep taking away and raising prices.

  22. Rhonda

Why don’t you lower prices so the public can enjoy instead of gouging the publicR

    1. Susan

I love Disney but hope that their vote to get rid of Bob Chapel and get a new CEO happens. He made over 32 million alone last year and all the employees barely anything. He is making customers pay for every little thing at the parks and claims it was profitable but even his co-workers want him removed as CEO. And if anyone pays that much for a hotel they deserve all the amenities and more. And changing and fixing all these rides after a pandemic is ending is not the time to be charging extra money especially with inflation. I used to live near Disneyland and we went all the time the fact that people can’t visit as often, lack of shows, the fact you can only ride each ride once and that fast passes now cost money along with everything else..not Walt Disney’s Dream. It’s supposed to be for families not the Elite! Again I don’t hate Disney Parks but am sad about the Wokeness in Newer Disney Shows and Movies and the price gauging!

  23. Greedy Kingdom

Disney has been sticking it to the people for the last 25 years! We used to go to DL Anaheim during summer on days when we were bored as teens. No passes, or $100 plus to get in. It’s almost half a grand for a family of four for the day to enter today. That’s robbery! Walt would blow a fuse if he knew what a greedy gimmick Disney has become. Just ask Abigail Disney.

  24. Sheigh

Wasn’t it just announced about another pending price hike for the parks? Guess Chapek really is planning on digital revenue for Disney as the price oark visits out of most people’s budget.

  25. CK

I just returned from Grand Californian a couple of days ago. Although robes were not in the room, a quick call to the front desk solved the problem. They delivered robes and slippers without issue.
They send housekeeping every other day unless you call. We had our trash emptied and towels changed with a simple request.
this was Grand Californian Feb 8-11, 2022

Maybe they have different policies for each of the hotels?

  26. Jim jensen

Disney owns the entertainment world and they need budget cuts? Too funny! If you believe this, then you have more problems than you think! Screw Disney.

  27. While prices continue to go up, Disney continues to offer less….they are going to put themselves out of business in the long run if they continue to monetize every one of their services. Universal Studios has already predicted their failure.

  28. Cjdr

We canceled our week stay at Disneyland just today. We support the boycott.

  29. Rya

Boycott Disney+. That will harm Cheapek’s tenure as CEO and hopefully he’ll be fired.
