Will be doing this exact thing in May when we visit Disneyland Paris; it was cheaper to go to England and France for 14 days than our last 7-day WDW vacation (Contemporary w TP View) in Feb 2021. Total for that stay was ~$12,500 with airfare, and our upcoming trip is less than $10k USD with airfare. At some point we will go back to WDW and DL, but it won’t be anytime soon given the current crowds, a-la carte pricing on everything, and the overall decrease in the experience versus the money spent.

A la carte pricing is at DLP, just you wait!

Oh yes, totally understand that the current Disney Parks pricing model is global; however, it seems like the crowd levels are much lower at DLP and we may actually get to enjoy the parks instead of standing in hour+ lines and having to order food 2+ hours ahead of time. Another plus is this year is DLP’s 30th anniversary; we really enjoyed Disneyland’s 60th a few years back, too. No regrets on missing WDW 50th, though.

We are going to Disneland Paris in 2 weeks time. Total cost for a 4 night stay including 2 day park entry, flights from the UK, private taxi. £470. Staying at partner hotel with full shuttle service and a buffet breakfast included in price. It would have been less if all three of us stayed in one room but we each decided to have our own room.

If you go to DL, stay at the Candy Cane Inn. It’s right down the street, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, breakfast is included, & parking is free (although difficult to find close to room). They have a shuttle if you can’t walk (note: may not be handicapped accessible). I stayed there six years ago and enjoyed it.
