My family of 6 have tickets Monday to Thursday and not looking forward to it. We’ve rescheduled this vacation since the pandemic started. Tired of rescheduling so we will make the most of it. At least we’re flying First Class from Arizona and staying at a 3 bed 3 bath suite at River Island. After this we’re done with Disney.
All you can do is make the most of it. Sometimes just sitting down and taking the atmosphere in is great too. Try going on the popular attractions right away in the morning, around lunch, and end of the day. I just ended my week at Disney World and while it was very busy I was still able to hit all the rides and shows that I really wanted to go on. Just be prepared to wait in long lines. At least we have smart phones now. When I worked there years ago and would hang out in the parks for the day when busy all I had for entertainment was people watching. Just take it easy and don’t stress. I hope you have a wonderful trip.
Well it is very obvious that all these people are continuing to throw away their hard earned money to an unbelievably GREEDY company that No longer cares about your enjoyment or so called magical experience. These people are just continuing to support this out of control corporation and it’s shareholders, don’t give a damn about their customers. I am talking from over 25 years of being a passholder in Florida. You people need to grow a pair and try together to make change happen, they are like a runaway train, with everything going on in their parks. How anyone can say that their vacation or visit was enjoyable is living a lie, to enjoy being ripped off at every single experience from merchandise, tickets, food (horrible), you name it is a disaster. I must admit I have never seen anything like the deterioration of such an American Tradition as what’s happening at Disney. People wake up and stick together and let them know with your pocketbooks. They no longer deserve your loyalty. The experience is not worth anyones time or money. SMARTEN UP PEOPLE!!!!!!
Tom, I totally get you’re saying, BUT I bet the reason why people are STILL willing to spend ALOT of $ at a place like Disney might be because everybody’s been cooped up in their homes due to the CV situation,& now they’re just going to Disney & etc to blow off some steam. I do think that there will come a point where the price for a ticket to Disney, food & parking there & etc will be too much for most consumers & then once that happens & there’s a significan’t drop in tix & food sales at Disney,THEN prices might go down again.
Yeah, plus there’s the lack of alternatives to consider. I know a lot of people who are forgoing international trips until the viral and political situation is a little more stable. If you’re already spending several grand to go abroad, switching to Disney doesn’t seem quite as painful. I doubt most of that group will go back once international travel is less prone to shut downs and quarantines though. I know I’d rather go to Japan for a couple weeks than spend the same to stand in line all day at Disney World
We’re ridiculously poor, but as things have gotten better we are finally able to afford ONE DAY at a park. We paid and reserved for tomorrow (Feb 26) at Magic Kingdom a week in advance. We are getting up at 3AM to go and I’m excited but anxious. Everything I’ve heard tells me the Disney I know and love is no more. But husband did this for me so time to suck it up and hope for the best. 3 more hours til Disney
My family is heading there on March 1st and we have park reservations for the full week. I’ve planned this trip back in Oct and we are so excited to go! Florida sunshine will be a nice change from our freezing temps here in Washington state.
I’m looking at that picture and all I can think of is, how is that fun?
Hot, humid, with thousands of smelly, rude, pushy people surrounding you, can’t see a thing, can’t ride much, can’t buy anything as the resellers take it all, food sucks, no place to sit, no shade, no magic, nothing much there seems worth the negatives.
This is why, for those overseas isn’t worth going to any of the disney parks, as you could book in advance in 60 days if in a Disney resort, & 30 days off site, but you have to now book when in the parks, your not guaranteed to get rides or park entry, it was much fairer but now impossible to do that overseas, it seems as if its just for those in usa & those that are rich , alot of overseas people won’t be going all that way to be turned away or not able to book parks in advance anymore 😡😡😡😡
We have a trip planned for the first week of May and I’m crossing my fingers that everyone in the country won’t be joining us 😂. Packing our patient pants though!
We have reservations for the first week in December 2022 which is when we’ve always gone and the crowds have been low or manageable. I’m under no illusion that that will be the case this year or from now on. Our eldest son was married there 12 years ago and that was the first time my wife and I ever went to Walt Disney World. And it was magical. The last time we have gone was The last few days of October and the first few days of November, 2019. It was magical and it was good. That was when we still had fast passes, magical express, no park reservations, and we could park-hop anytime to any park during the day. Our hearts are broken to see this very special place we love get this way.
We have gone to WDW basically every other year since 2012. We just returned from Orlando, however, we only gave Disney Parks one day this trip (not counting Typhoon Lagoo). We stayed off property and did 3 days at Universal, one day at Discovery Cove, and one day at Typhoon Lagoon. The crowds were not as bad as at Christmas, but it was close. My son’s a teen now, so I didn’t have to worry as much about him staying with me, but there’s no way I would have braved that with a younger child. It’s not the same. I was SO ready to get out of the park.
There’s no reason to have the reservation system. There is no reason to have the 2pm limit on park hopping.
We just arrived at our Disney world resort. Have tickets for 7 days starting tomorrow. Haven’t been here in awhile … Hope it is better than the reviews I have been reading. Haven’t bought the extra genie yet, but may now that parks are at capacity.

Pretty crazy at the other Orlando parks as well.
I saw both Universal dry parks closing early tonight due to a massive special event.
This is what happens when you have the greatest governor in the country. 😁
But I think all the parks are reaching deep to find employees. And if you don’t reward them when crowds are high, the good ones will leave.

Same here. Disneyland and California Adventure are packed. 🤪
