Absolute crap. NOTHING about their costumes violated any posted policy. Since even costumed performers have insignia that identified them as park employees, the only reason these guys were asked to leave is they looked better than the lame ass actors that Universal hires at minimum wage. UNIVERSAL Can go to Azakaban.
Might want to reread the rules, genius. They violated at least two of them… Long train dragging on the ground and giving the impression they worked for the park by taking selfies with other guests.
While not exactly fair, I think they do it not only to protect the Intellectual Property, but to protect children from potential predators exploiting the trust of children.
Universal allows cosplay as long as the people in costume follow the rules and do not cause a disruption, sign autographs, or allow a crowd to gather around them.
I don’t understand why these people weren’t stopped at the entry gates if this was an issue. Seems silly to stop them after they’ve been running around the park for who knows how long…
Turnstyle workers don’t always know what exactly they’re wearing, nor are the guests interacting as characters with other guests going through the turnstyles. They also could change into costume inside the park (only wear select items in and out the result on inside).
They weren’t stopped by security. Those 4 people are just chatting. The video is a joke. The article is an attention grab.
I’ve walked in there many times in full costume. Universal doesn’t mind.
The orginal Tik Tok video was obviously a joke. There are hundreds of cosplayers at Universal Orlando in late January for an annual event.
Those cosplayers were NOT violating any of the guidelines shown above. Wizarding World Team Members have generic uniforms. None of them are presented as specific characters, not even the Knight Bus attendant.

That didn’t happen in Universal Orlando. That happened in Hollywood. Universal Orlando has in house security and Hollywood uses securitas.

More TikTok recap stories… what a worthless site.
