Can’t explain how little I care about the color of signs at Disney, but instead I’ll complain that they wasted money, especially in this day and age, where Disney barely spends any money on it’s actual park experience.
Of all the comments about Disney this one is pretty strange. You can complain that they charge too much for things but they are certainly spending money.
So amusing seeing people getting upset over Disney refreshing their signage. Many of the old signs were ready for replacement, and with blue and gold being the theme colors for the 50th anniversary, going blue on the signs fits right in. The only thing I care about is having signs that are readable and clear, and these seem to fill the bill.
And the Chapek era continues to gouge , replace iconic signs with Universal copies , eliminate every perk including Fast Pass , Magical Express and on and on. Chapek won’t be happy until everything that Walt and those in between touched , are gone.
I like the purple signs better and am ised to the purple signs. Changing the signs to the same color as Universal Studioes is gonna be confusing while driving.
If you’re confused reading the park’s signs on their own property, you have bigger issues than what color they are. These signs are strictly on Disney or Universal property.
Hi. Admittedly, I liked the old signs. But, this pales in comparisons to the other changes WDW is making that are awful:
1. Harmonious barges in the midde of the Epcot lake (ruining what was a beautiful scene)
2. Adding expensive rides to Epcot that don’t belong there
3. Threatening to change Splash Mountain for NO GOOD REASON
4. Maintaining the mask mandates…
5. Epcot France – replacing (during the day) the wonderful movie “Impressions de France” with a sing along
6. Replacing Maelstrom at Epcot Norway with Frozen (it definitely belonged in Hollywood Studios)
If they all they’d have done was change the color of the signs, I’d have ignored this “complaint”. But, WDW has much bigger problems and changes.
7. Changing Pirates of the Caribean for no good reason
8. Changing things in the Jungle Cruise
9. Painting over signs on Tom Sawyers Island.
10. Taking out the Bakery on Main Street!!!
We are changing things for the squeaking wheel. I know change is inevitable, but please. The majority needs to speak up.
I wish they would take all the signs down completely so only those of us who already know where it is could find it! Also how did this post about changing signs end with an ad for the star cruiser??
Comments for Universal Calls Out Disney For Changing Iconic Signs
Chris
They should have just added the new hotel to the existing color scheme, the new signs are boring.
KenG
Agreed!
Kathy
Yep. Would have been less expensive than replacing them.

The purple signs were unique and associated with Disney World.
Dan
In time these ones will too, and then they’ll change it again to make it more racially sensitive

Spot on.
Joanna Coors
Universal again acting like the jealous high school girl.
Dr Bob
Really. Who cares about signs. Bring back the perks and reduce the outrageous prices since one can’t see anything in a day except long lines.
Cindy
Okay I guess I’m missing it, where is the picture of Disney’s blue signs. I only see the Disney sign at their main gate in the article.
Cindy
If it’s the view on the right of the main gate of the lift replacing a sign, you can’t even see the sign.

Colour of the sign?
Sorry to say but, who gives a bleep.
