I think it would be great for Universal to re-theme the Florida version’s storyline and overlays so that it all matches with Singapore’s version.
They should update the ride’s premise as I find it lame for taking place in a “real world” setting and outside of the franchise’s timeline, retconning it all as a movie series within the story. To me, that just ruins the franchise as you want the action, thrills and suspense to feel real and not part of the fantasy realm.
Personally, I prefer when stories for I.P. based rides are set in the same universes as the motion pictures themselves. I never liked the whole movie-within-movie concept.
Getting rid of the studio theme would be the best decision.
