This is not what ‘cancel’ means.

Obviously this movie didn’t check off the woke diversity boxes that would have qualified it to be in the running.

        Are you retarded?

Was that the ONLY way for BAFTA officials to view the film for it to be recognized for awards consideration? I’m sure something of this nature must’ve occurred at least once before; did they simply disqualify it in the situation as well? In any case, SMNWH is still on track to probably hit/surpass the $2B mark anyway, so aside from a BAFTA award, the production continues to rule the box office!

These rules are there to qualify/ disqualify film for BAFTA, yes it’s probably happened before, it’s not like they’re picking and choosing, these are the rules, bottom line, and smnwh did not adhere to them

The author consistently acts surprised and confused about this film being disqualified, and even gets their vocabulary for “disqualified” and “cancelled” mixed up, this is surprising because both BAFTA and the author clearly outlined BAFTA’s qualifications regarding films to be reviewed for award by them, and how Spider-Man: No Way Home did not adhere to those requirements and subsequently BAFTA we’re forced to disqualify Spider-Man: No Way Home on this technicality, they don’t pick and choose who gets disqualified, these are the rules, plain and simple.
