A power outage at Walt Disney World Resort caused massive shutdowns of some of the integral parts of the Parks and Hotels.
FOX 35 Orlando reports that the power outage at Walt Disney World Resort struck several areas on Tuesday evening and shut down the monorail, ferryboats, and some Magic Kingdom Resort Hotels near the Seven Seas Lagoon.
We spoke to one visitor who explained that she was eating dinner at the Wilderness Lodge and staying at the Polynesian Resort. She tells us both places lost power earlier in the evening.
“Walked up to the reception desk and asked them…’Are you guys aware that the ladies’ restroom is out?’ and they said, ‘Oh yeah, there’s a lot of areas that are out right now,” said Disney visitor Lannie Bartlett.
Bartlett said the power went out roughly around 6 p.m. and was reportedly restored at Walt Disney World before 10 p.m. When it was restored, Bartlett said cheers could be heard following the short-lived darkness.
Inside the Magic was onsite and can confirm that most everything was back to normal function rather quickly and that the outage did not last very long.

This is not the first bizarre instance to happen at Disney Parks recently. Just last month, Disneyland Resort had a power outage that reportedly left Guests stranded on rides. The night before at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort, fire trucks and ambulances were seen driving down Main Street, U.S.A. after receiving a fire call. It was later confirmed by Disney that there was a small fire that was put out by a fire extinguisher.
