We were there last year and it was hell. WDW shuts down all busses and funnel’s all guests through the transportation authority. It’s a logistical nightmare. And none of the employees have a solution to get around the marathon.
I was there, this story is awful. They were telling us it was the security line but it literally was not moving. They were not letting anyone in for whatever reason.so it really was backed up to the parking lot. We waited 5 minutes and left to Hollywood studios, it was so ridiculous.
We were there, staying on property and taking the bus to Magic Kingdom we never saw large lines like that ever. Only back up was a little traffic coming into the park that we hadn’t seen all week. We actually saw smaller park crowds Thursday-Saturday than we did Monday-Wednesday.
Busses don’t go to the TTC from on-site hotels. You would have never seen these lines. These people weren’t all going to MK. The monorail was also the only way to get to Epcot in the mornings due to the course of the races.
I was at Disney World just last Friday and Saturday everything was smooth sailing very organized and wonderful don’t let these pictures scare you.. Magic Kingdom and Epcot were great and it was so great to be back “home” for the 50th anniversary ❤️❤️
I was there Wed-Tues. big crowds, but this picture is bogus. Everything went smoothly. Even without Lightning Lane tickets, we got on many rides and had a great time.

Been here since Friday and it’s been pretty low crowds wherever I went. Great time of year to come, not hitting MK til today tho. So far for me, fair waits, low crowds, very magical.
Lies .. if they didn’t lay off so many employees and would open the full security area there would be no lines . It’s not crowds it’s greed causing this ..
Once again, shoulder to shoulder people and do you see one mask. Gee……wonder why Florida keeps setting COVID records. Want to catch the Omicron Strain quicker???? Go to Disney. And yes, the Nay Sayers will once again say…….”But their outside”. Like it makes any difference to the Virus……Ha.
You are then only one who’s said abut about mask if you do t like it stay the he’ll out of Florida simple as that we don’t want you down here every one complains bc Florida but where do they go down here. If you feel safe wear you face diaper. And stay the hell out of Florida
I agree with you Rroe. We were there for the Marathon weekend. We had a blast, never saw any of these lines BUT very few people wore masks! No wonder Omicron is spreading like a wild fire! Even if it’s like a bad cold, it kills the weak and its on US to protect them! We even ran with masks on, no big deal!
Just curious – what percentage would you guess, ran with masks on. I can’t imagine such (not being critical)… As for protecting the weak, it is up to them to protect themselves knowing what their condition is.
Well if its true, I’m surprised Nickle and Dime Bob Paycheck did generate a Security Lightning Lane that you can pay extra for to get in quicker….Oh crap have I just given Bob an idea to grab some more beans for his jar….
On race days, in the morning, Epcot guests had to use the monorail from the TTC while the parking lot was still closed. Race watchers also had to use the monorail. Security is before the monorail. This is an entirely possible scenario without impacting how crowded just one park was.
Well, even with tickets with a few visits left on them, we have washed our hands of Disney World. We got annual passes for Legoland. So, we don’t have to deal with any of the nonsense Disney is forcing on its guests. Why people are still going there is beyond me.

Forced? These folks could have walked away at any time.

Exactly what I was thinking. Sheez. The title is such drama.

Bogus picture…nowhere near the T&TC, this was probably some other ‘gathering’ for the race itself.

Or, you know, the pandemic is still causing issues with getting people to come back to work. That makes more sense

This just says to me that Disney is NOT limiting crowds any longer.
Also, does no one work or go to school anymore?
