Had it on my watchlist. Hit play and saw the “edited content” notice and hit stop and removed from my watchlist. The real deal or nothing.

Now I’m completely furious! She well earned that f bomb! I was a kid when this movie came out and it didn’t faze me 1 bit. It was an appropriate response. Disney needs to just add our not add movies. There should not be any editing allowed for streaming networks. They’re getting paid for their product not their judgements on past movie decisions. If you don’t like the language, don’t post it! Jeez really?!

Agree with the comment about physical media in the article, can’t beat it.
Who are they actually censoring for anyway? Kids these days use that word and worse.
Disney are always doing this; the took the song The Love is Gone out of Muppet Christmas Carol, spoilt the whole film for me. Just leave stuff how the original writers and director created it, don’t go denigrating someone else’s work. F-ing leave it alone!!!

Physical media deteriorates over time. Even if you don’t use it the quality will decline. And of course it’s obviously susceptible to damage. There’s a reason people pay to have have significant video, like weddings and vacations, moved to digital. A digital copy will literally last forever without ever losing quality. So skip the streaming and get digital copies of everything you want. It’s all available even if you have to sail the high seas to find some of it.

I own almost 6,800 movies and TV shows. This is a big reason why I will always buy rather than just stream.

    1. Julian H

100% agree with you. Get in the real world Disney.

    2. Backcountry164

I hope it’s digital because if it’s physically media it’s just wasting away…

  4. JimmyNY

    Completely disgraceful.

  5. Togo

As a parent, I’m very happy that Disney is editing out unnecessary curse words. Honestly, it wasn’t justified or earned.

    1. Julian H

Then have 2 versions one for the kids and then the real version for adults. Don’t sensor a film for the sake of it… Honestly.

    2. Ken Brenner

Thank you Togo, glad to see there’s at least one person here that finds bad language not appropriate (for kids or adults). Bad words never make a movie better, only worse…

      1. Pagan

Guess y’all have missed the studies showing that cursing is a sign of intelligence…

    3. Backcountry164

Your kids hear worse every day at school…

  6. Rusty Shackleford

So it’s alright to Censor Adventures in Babysitting but keep X-Men uncensored with one single “F” Bomb. Wow, real cute Disney really f***in cute

  7. CJ

This is why ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING needs to be uncut on Hulu (I thought Team Disney owning Hulu was so that certain Content not suitable for Disney + had a place to stream in their ownership!) …. aaand this is why I have not subscribed to Disney + (unnecessary editing of content in order to neuter it for toddlers to view!) 🙄

    1. Tony

Nope, there are movies on Disney+ with blasphemy all in them. Just because it’s on Disney+ doesn’t make it kid friendly.

      1. Pagan

Blasphemy, huh? You do realize that not everyone is Christian, right?

    2. James

Hamilton was full of profanity and inappropriate language and context on Disney+…

  8. F Bomb

Why not offer both versions? Entirely possible

  9. Tony

The strange thing I see in these comments is that people are upset that they removed swearing. i’m upset that they removed it but they keep adding Gods name in vain to Marvel movies and tv series. I stopped watching Hawkeye when I found out it was in a later episode and I had only seen the first. I didn’t expect it in Winter Soldier but as soon as one of the characters said it I turned it off. I know people on here will probably blast me for saying this but I would rather be mocked by people instead of judged by God for accepting this. For anyone in here that doesn’t understand, try picturing the actors mocking your wife, husband or kids. I would hope you would at least get mad about that.

    1. Ryan

Well censoring curse words kind of makes sense in some weird way, but censoring god based stuff doesn’t because God isn’t real.

      1. mark Main Walker

You got that right. People might as well pray to a flying spaghetti monster.

        1. 316

There are no such things as atheists, just idolators.

      2. 316

        God is very much real.

However, I’m not sure that you are.

        1. Pagan

          Prove it.

      3. Rickey Rifton

If God isn’t real then why would curse words matter?

    2. mark Main Walker

      Oh god!! Really?

      1. Xi

If you want to have Disney, keep the f-bomb in the movie. Just have the Chinese government demand they do it

    3. AW

Taking God’s name in vain means abusing scripture to suit your own agenda, not simply using the word generic word ‘god’ in other contexts. The Christian god has an actual name besides. He isn’t named God. I’m not even a believer and I know that.

      1. Geralt

If you were a believer, you’d know that using the name of God in a flippant manner is taking His name in vain (as well as claiming to be Christian but not living like it). BTW, there’s plenty of examples of Hollywood using “Jesus” or “Christ” in that way…what’s the excuse for that?

    4. ajay

Why watch any Marvel or DC films? Aren’t they full of false “gods?”

    5. Ken Brenner

Thank you Tony – God Bless you!!

  10. Jamie

I do think that was one of the funniest parts in the movie but there are options. Disney should have family content only on streaming but I do believe they have a parental lock on movies for younger kids. However Disney owns Hulu so why not put it on there unedited along with the ACTUAL Roger Rabbit movie & unedited Splash. That would make more sense. Another bad move for Disney

  11. wapkep

What’s the big problem here? Disney has been holding the viewing public hostage for decades! Why can’t we see award-winners like “Song of the South” (the song “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” won best song in 1948, and James Baskett–Uncle Remus– received a special Oscar the same year)? Yet, the only way you can see it is on pirate copies.

    1. Backcountry164

Hostage?? So who exactly forces you to support this mega-corp?? Because I’m not held hostage, I just don’t watch it…

  12. Andy Clark

Seriously? And by that I mean why are people losing it over a word edit, get over it melon farmers

  13. Bill Hannigan

I won’t let Disney raise my kids. When that scene comes on I yell, “Yeah, don’t F*** with that F***er!”.. then I make my kids yell it too and we all laugh.

  14. ajay

It’s not a curse word. It’s not blasphemous.

  15. Ken Brenner

Many of the comments here are a sad testimony to how low our society has gotten.

    1. Backcountry164

Well stop prancing around on your high horse and it won’t seem like you’re heads and tails above everyone else…
      Because you’re not

  16. John Bull

I agree, wanting to destroy history and censor media is a pretty low point in any society. Nobody is forcing kids (or you) to watch the movie, and by all means there could be multiple cuts made available so parents with young kids could watch the version without swearing- but you high and mighty types like to pretend it’s unambiguously good to just destroy other people’s work because it doesn’t suit your personal worldview

  17. Laith Amekir

The edited Halloween playing in the background tv. With whats on there it makes you think someone is watching. You would think a scary movie oh darn. But then there came the FBOMB removal Corp. I was done at that point. I’m tired of the censorship. Same for Gina Carano. Censorship has harmful effects just saying. This generation are p*ssys now raised by p*ssys

  18. Johnny Proctor

But is Thor still a “homo”? If so, I’m happy with it…

  19. Johnny Proctor

    Apparently not, pretty lame…

  20. mickeymouse3#

Some people have nothing better to do than go back and scrutinize a 35 year year old movie. Get a life!!!
    Another “woke” joke.

  21. Jason

This is not the only one they are systemically destroying classic film be woke Progressive

  22. Stevie

Yet Disney has no problem leaving the opening scene of Pollyanna alone, which shows a naked boy playing on a rope swing. I know, I know- that’s how kids played back then. Well, gang leaders on subways use the F word. I just hate how they pick and choose what is considered not appropriate to see and hear.
