Disney doesn’t like not having full control and maximum profits from their deals. It is all about the money, and having deep pockets for aggressive lawyers they keep it that way.
Considering that so many Disney characters and movies are based on stories that they could use for free since they weren’t under copyright protection anymore seems like the same happening to them is fair.
this is how the system is supposed to work Disney just being a big bully company having already had laws changed to extend their control but these things are supposed to enter the public domain that what pushes our society’s creativity forward
I think 💬🤔 that this is bad 😞😭😢😔☹️😟😥 news 🗞️, because Winnie the Pooh is one of most popular characters and one of the most famous franchises created by Disney. How can 🥫 it enter the domain?
It was not created by Disney. Just like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, The Little .
Mermaid, etc. were not. Disney acquired the use of them because they were public domain. Fair is fair.
I’m pretty sure Disney will be well on it’s way to sorting out any kind of legal dispute that may arise, more from AA Milne’s estate who are always in a dispute with Disney in one way or another. Keeping control of Mickey I would imagine is less of an issue.
Hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What goes around, comes around🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Well Disney people, have fun with that. They’ve RIPPED OFF SOOOOOOOOOO MANY PEOPLE with there Huge Monopoly on so many thing’s. This should be interesting to watch 👀 & fun to hear 👂🏼 this unfold, but sadly, Disney Always finds some kind of Loophole to get thing’s THERE WAY & this situation should be no different 😭😭😭😭
Stick around. We haven’t had the daily covid/mask debate yet. I’m sure it will be posted shortly. Those always remind me of monkeys flinging poo at each other.
I believe they should be able to extend the copyrights because they are very active characters uniquely associated with Disney! They are part of the magic
Disney was the only company to successfully win a court case against the US District attorney and had their copyright on Mickey extended beyond the normal
Don’t mind Winnie in the public domain because Disney didn’t create him or the other characters. Steamboat Willie, on the other hand, is a Disney creation and should remain their property.
I love hearing about countless billions of dollars Disney males on so many things.
Why do I have to pay $30 to park in Mickey and Friends parking structure that Disney made the city of Anaheim pay $100 million to build – yet leases it to Disney for $1 per year?
There are no trams running either. Pay $30 and walk 3/4 of a mile each way to the parks.

Do you think shows/movies should still have to pay royalties to the descendants of the woman who wrote happy birthday every time they sing it?
