Universal Orlando Resort fans will be happy to know that a beloved attraction has finally reopened after being closed since the start of the pandemic.

Photos had begun to surface over social media the past few days showing that Curious George Goes To Town, the largest playground in the Parks, had reopened, and now Universal has confirmed it.

Previously, if you looked on the official Universal Orlando app wait times section, you could see the area where Curious George Goes To Town is located and nothing would show up. Starting this week, however, Universal Orlando has added the attraction back to the section and lists the playgroup as “open.”

Following the news that A Day in the Park with Barneywould not be brought back — which is in the same area of Universal Studios as Curious George Goes To Town– as well as the impending closing of Shrek 4-D, many fans feared that the playground would be going, as well.

This reopening proves that, at least for the time being, Curious George is safe and that fans will still have the opportunity to enjoy the water play area, playground and the Man with the Yellow Hat’s Ball Factory.

Here’s what Universal says about the attraction:

Join Curious George in this playground overflowing with fun. Enter the town’s cartoonish buildings and grab a pump, hose or lever in the water play area. Discover activities for inquisitive little ones in the Animal Show tent. And head to the Man with the Yellow Hat’s Ball Factory to throw, blast, and launch thousands of soft foam balls.

Universal Orlando has not updated the status of Camp Jurassic, If I Ran The Zoo, or Me Ship, The Olive playgrounds at Islands of Adventure. All three are opened for Guests to walk through, but some features of the playgrounds– such as the nets on Camp Jurassic– remain closed.
