As we reported a few weeks ago, Universal announced earlier this year that Revenge of The Mummy: The Ride is set for a lengthy closure, with the last day for Guests to ride the attraction being January 7. The attraction isn’t expected back open until late summer 2022. Not much is known about what will be done to the ride aside from this new permit. It will definitely be interesting to see what all will be changed or upgraded when the ride finally reopens next summer.
Universal Orlando Resort describes the attraction as:Â
Plunge High Speed into Total Darkness.
Digging your nails into the safety rail, you’ll hold on tight as you rush forwards and back on the track, fleeing from the evil Mummy Imhotep. Just as it seems you might’ve escaped, you’ll plunge straight down into a pitch-black abyss with no end in sight. Will you ever see daylight again? Or will you remain sealed inside this tomb forever?
Shrek 4-D will also be shutting its doors forever on January 10, 2022, so be sure to enjoy the attraction before you no longer can!
