We got stuck on pirates in 2017 at closing, the bots just stopped and we listened to the same song for around 20 minutes, they finally muted the sound than we just had creepy animatronics moving, they finally got us moving after about 25 to 30 mins and gave us fast passes, my kids fell asleep in the boat
Much like the monorails, so many things are breaking down on a regular basis. Bring back Bob Iger and fix this genie plus to be a little more like fastpass…
We were there last week. There was someone who worked at Disney looking at the launch area of sdd while we waited. It also seemed there were a lot of rides with issues while we were there.
In 2019 we got stuck on Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom. We got stuck in the plastic mountain. We waited about 15 minutes and a cast member came to let us out of the ride then we had to walk thru the rollercoaster to be evacuated. They had no idea what they were doing to walk us out. A bunch of kids working the ride and kept calling eachother on the side phones that were placed every now and then as we were escorted telling us no go back this way, for us to walk all the way back and then to call one of those side phones and say to go back the other way and we’d walk a long long way up stairs down stairs thru the plastic mountains and then they’d call and tell us to come back again.. they seriously did this about 6 times and I was so irritated by then. To top it off I had Mr Questions kid behind me (or ahead of me depending which way we were going at the time) and he would say “hey dad what’s this? Hey dad what’s that? Hey dad why do they so this? Hey dad why do they do that? Her dad where are we going now?” Ugh 🤦🏼♀️

Maybe I’m just noticing them, but it seems like every day there’s a new failure at WDW. Have they cut back on maintenance?
