The movie was trash anyway. With or without her, makes no difference, TLJ is 100% garbage.

    1. Nope

      at least it wasn’t ROS

I’ll say it again. TLJ is the most insulting star wars movie. I cry a little inside every time I think what could have been.
Rian Johnson should NOT be given any further SW projects. Kathleen Kennedy also shouldn’t have been recontracted.

You must have missed the Rise of Skywalker then, because that’s definitely the worst.

TLJ is the worst, because trying to find away to fix the damage it caused was why RoTS was bad. Plus Rise at least had some decent action and wasn’t the snore fest the TLJ was.

Totally agree. TLJ was a complete joke. Terrible movie. The list is too long to go .

by “snore fest” do you mean “character development” and “component writing?” you can hate TLJ all you want, but at least it had original ideas.

its easy to break something down, opposed to create something new. all his intent was to “subvert expectations” to do whatever he wanted was in a destructive way, totally ignoring all the stuff JJ set-up and either destroy any connections or blatantly ignoring them, if you find his idea of a Leia flying through space is original? guess you never seen Mary Poppins. or ignore all set laws in space travel (*and endless chase in space, and a kamikazi spaceship wow very creative, (remember how an A-wing crashed into the Executor which did destroy it) to make every female character to act/feel superior to the male cast, probably winning praise by KK for doing that. i think id sooner see GGR Martin finish his next book before we ever see a Ruin Johnson trilogy.

I believe Rebekah is trying to point out the serious lack of attention to detail Rian Johnson has for the Star Wars source material. This is a big problem because it proves Rian is not drawing his inspiration from what came before him. Perhaps Rian’s focus was sewing the seeds of his trilogy and not making connections to previous works. Hence all the disconnect between films and the original trilogy. Well done Rebekah

This is like debating between whether it’s worse to be kicked in the face or kicked in the balls. Does it really matter when both are so bad??

TLJ was so so so so so so bad. Nonsensical and because it literally did it move the story forward or even backwards, Rise was doomed to be bad. It was 2 hours if nothing.

This is just further proof that Rian Johnson had absolutely no respect for the source material he was working with. Completely trash director . While he isn’t the only one responsible, I place the majority of the blame for the awful state Star Wars is in on him.

If I could insert a gif here, it’d be the Peter Griffin “Oh my god, who the hell cares?” one.

She played a background character akin to LOTR’s Figwit.

    It doesn’t matter.

  6. Sigh

    “Fan Favourite”

    LOL

But does show much attention Rian showed Star Wars.

  7. LWA

Johnson needs to just go make the art films he wants to make. Leave SW alone. He ruined the new trilogy. Single-handedly.

  8. Backcountry164

He felt bad?? Yeah, right. Gimme a break. He clearly couldn’t care less and obviously never did. He shouldn’t even be allowed on the set of any Star Wars production going forward. But instead they’ll probabaly give him a trilogy because Disney just can’t do Star Wars movies. If not for Favreau and Filoni the entire franchise would be dead and buried…
