$120? LOL. Made in China no doubt. Lack of customer service. Bet the legit items are victims of the supply chain issues Dear Leader says don’t exist. So instead they send a cheaper item from DL. LOL.

      I agree… and at $120 what a ripoff.

No surprise Bob Chapekd Disney scams its biggest fans.

    2. Gabe

I bet 90% of the crap you have in your house is “made in China” too.😂

So I just happened to see this article and I ran to go check my Jersey which arrived just yesterday and was still wrapped in plastic. I didn’t even think to look at the shirt closely when I opened the box. I was just too excited that I was able to get one before they sold out. It never occurred to me that shopdisney would send out something wrong like this. They should be ashamed of themselves for this deception! I am truly disgusted!

I had the same problem with mine. I called shop Disney, the cast member was helpful.
It appears to be the one from Japan.

Is Shop Disney refunding customers the total purchase price if they return it?

      $120 for a sweater?

    3. a good mouse

      Was it the right version?

My daughter has been waiting to get this since the sneak peek was released in July. We saw all the bad reviews for the purple jerseys and worried about this one until they finally released it on Ship Disney this week. We were happy to pay the extra $50 for an embroidered/sewed on sequin jersey. Then we saw the reviews this morning before it got here…. sure enough- we got the “original” version. I already had my phone dialed in to call, and we were told we could get a refund or see if the warehouse comes to a resolution on Monday. We’ll wait and see…. really hoping for the advertised version.

    1. Gabe

      Wait… you paid $170 plus S&H for a sweater?! A SWEATER?! SERIOUSLY?! 😵

It will probably be more valuable like error pins or double stamped coins. I actually like just Disney across back. 😊

    1. Nick

So just get a refund and be done with it.
It’s a shirt, get over it.
      Another first world problem.

You sound like a pretty crappy person

At Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the tunneling electron microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. If I were using that microscope right now… I still wouldn’t be able to locate my interest in this “problem”.

      😂🤣😂🤣

And yet you still took the time to read and made a comment how pathetic

      Frasier, is that you? 😆

That’s Disney trying to make more money screwing over Disney fans. As if they don’t make enough money screwing us when we go to their parks.. They try to get even more out of you

    1. Nick

Here’s a very simple solution to your stated Disney angst, if that’s the way you really feel, simply stop going to the parks.
      You’re welcome.

I think people forget that minimum wage workers make the product. Minimum wage employees package the product. Minimum wage employees unload the product. Minimum wage employees pack the online order. AND THEY ARE ALL EXHAUSTED FROM THE ENDLESS CONSUMERISM.

    1. Kel

What does what someone is getting paid have to do with some people getting the authentic and some getting the knock off? What do the people in packaging and unloading have to do with this? This is a Disney problem not the warehouse workers problem. Point the finger at the problem not the shipping and packaging people.

If people don’t want to do their job then find another job. You are paid to do something then you should do it right whether you get minimum wage or not. If you don’t want to do the job right then find yourself a better-paying job.

  8. If Disney was so unwilling to understand and hear that the items were different, that’s where a credit card chargeback could have come in handy. If the merchandise is materially different, the credit card company will happily clawback the money from Disney.

  9. True Disney fan

Spirit jerseys weren’t in existence when Disneyland had a 50th. So questionable that it was the “disneyland version”

  10. Cj Brown

It’s important to note that some entitled schlub paid $120 for poor quality Disney Merchandise (offered up by the Walt Disney Company) that probably goes for $9.99 at Walmart! 😂

Chapek knows Disney 🐑 will overspend 💵 ‘s on anything (even when it’s poor quality merchandise!) 🤷🏼‍♂️

They’ve messed up the new Railroad dress as well. People who ordered the Disney World version are getting the Disneyland version and vice versa. Some have returned the dress for the proper one, being assured by customer service they would hand pick the dress to ensure they received the right one only to receive the wrong one again. It happened to one person three times.

  12. Bill

Anyone spending $120 on a made in china, theme park sweater deserves to get burned.

  13. Dora

Over the past year or so I feel the quality of Disney merchandise has gone down significantly. The shirts I have purchased recently do not wash well and look older than Disney shirts I have had for years. If they want to charge high prices the quality has to be better. I ordered the Cars Anniversary ornament and the color of the rocks is way off from the item picture on their website. They shipped a replacement and another came with the same purple colored rocks. It’s horrible for the price they are charging.

    1. kay

I agree. They keep going up in prices bu
      t down on quality.

Some of these comments are out of control and uncalled for. You all realize a lot of items are made in China right?

I called shopDisney and they were aware of the problem before Christmas when people started getting them delivered. The CM I spoke to apologized profusely and said that they’d get this corrected as soon as possible. As of today, the item isn’t listed on shopDisney and they are fixing the problem. Someone made a HUGE mistake with the SKUs and they are working to correct it. Goodness.
