I don’t understand the mindset of someone who would embarrass themselves and their partner in a situation like this at Disney. I understand the thought of Dinsey-fied romance behind it, but I think I would have the marriage conversation in private and perhaps stage a public presentation of the engagement ring rather than the actual first time proposal. You’re putting someone on the spot in front of strangers. The person who said “I don’t want to deal with this now,” has my unending sympathy. My husband of 20+ years and I had several discussions about getting married and what we wanted out of life, where we wanted to live, etc… before agreeing on getting married. Why would you spring it on them in public? Yikes.
