Aloha! Disney’s Polynesian Resort has been around since Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971. The Pacific Island and Hawaii-inspired Resort has grown to welcome DVC suites, additional longhouses, bungalows, and added transportation. The beloved Resort is turning 50 alongside Walt Disney World Resort, and to celebrate, they are debuting some new designed and produced by Loungefly.
NEW Loungefly Polynesian Ears for the 50th Anniversary
The new Minnie ear set, available only at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, displays two Maui tikis on the faux leather uppers and tropical Hibiscus and Plumeria flowers as the center “bow” decoration. These ears are produced by Loungefly, most commonly known for the Loungefly backpack sets that Disney Park fans adore.

Disney’s Neverland Delivery service proudly displays the ear headband wares, as well as the custom metal Disney by Loungefly tag on the bamboo-looking side of the ears.

Another shot by a Disney fan, Life with Liz, shows off the wood grain ear circles (peaked for Maui’s head) and more bamboo detail on the faux leather headband frame.

These Minnie Mouse ears retail $39.99 at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, so if you catch yourself riding the monorail, be sure to stop off at this original Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and pick up a pair of the Resort ears along with a Dole Whip!
What you might not see in these merchandise photos is that the back of one of the ears displays the vintage “Disney’s Polynesian Resort Hotel” logo with Plumeria-shaped flowers and the Disney World 50th Anniversary “50” inside the largest flower.
Disney Dorks Duo, Jennifer and Woody, snagged a pair and proudly posted their Disney Resort purchase on Instagram!
