It’s…the last movie.
Like Jurassic Park III before it was the “apology” for Lost World, and did a generic entry to placate fans and retire the franchise on a peaceful note, Dominion is clearly trying to rewrite and smooth over Fallen Kingdom before moving on.
Safe to say, we will NOT be getting the “Jurassic World: Viva Las Vegas” as teased in FK’s post-credit scene, which is why we’re getting a III-style generic story–
But I wouldn’t put it past Universal to try a failed post-trilogy “Rise of the Ice Age” jumpstart with the sabertooth tigers a few years later.
