When you have enough money you can convince people of your Rules.

Life is about so much more than working. The sooner humans learn that, the more balanced life can become for all of us.

I gotta say i respect him alot for standing his ground and making it known his kid comes before anything else including hom! Way to go Mr Renner! Our kids are this planets legacy they need their parents to traverse the cruel and not so cruel roads of life! Balance must be found we weren’t meant to work our entire lives!

Good for him. Hawkeye is one of my two favorite MCU Avengers, the other being Cap.

  4. Tadzu Lempke

Pretty sure he actually joined the MCU in 2011.

Why can’t they extend the same courtesies to Johnny Depp. Amber Heard’s accusations are a 1 sided account yet they boot Depp from Pirates. But here they give Mr. Renner the benefit of the doubt.
Good for Jeremy Renner for wanting to spend time with his daughter.

Work or just take all your money & shut up & go away ! Do u think the poor everyday smucks working day to day in factories for about minimum wage give a damn about your dramatic life “pronouncements ” ! LOL

        Yet, here you are!

      Not the same studio.

He’s the most useless Avenger anyway. He should have been killed off instead of Black Widow. Recast him. He won’t be missed.

You should be recast in life you would not be missed at all

Yes 2011 was his first appearance in the MCU. It was a small part in Thor. Not a huge oversight but if you were a true fan you’d understand.

Family first. That’s a good rule to live by. You are truly being a hero to your daughter.

Imagine having to make a RULE, with DISNEY, to be a FATHER.
    Awesome.

  8. Fitz

He actually joined the MCU in Thor, but yeah… write whatever made up nonsense you want. Don’t fact check or anything.

  9. That is such a “Hawkwye” move. Seriously, Good for him and Smart for Marvel to get it. I still wanna see a Hawkeye/BlackWidow movie or mini series.

We honestly need to get better about normalising work-life balance, and supporting (and even encouraging) people prioritising family and/or health over work.
Stop making people feel guilty for looking after themselves or their family.

I like Hawk Eye alot more now

I wonder if he realizes that with the multiverse now being a thing, it would be so very easy to replace him. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for work life balance.

I praise him for believing his daughter is more important than his Marvel character & pay check… but seriously, who cares if the lamest Avenger is replaced with a new actor.

Minor correction to the article, Jeremy Renner had his first appearance in Thor not Avengers. In fact one of his best lines was in Thor when he told Colson he was starting to root for Thor during the scene when Thor was attempting to retrieve his hammer from the SHIELD site.

Jeremy Renner has a right to “family first” and while Marvel – Disney could have recast him? they would’ve put a 🎯 on themselves by SAG-AFTRA by doing so …. and you don’t want to make the Unions angry in the entertainment industry!

As for the allegations by an ex wife? that’s all they are, nobody went to court and nobody went to jail (I say let’s keep the tabloid news out of this, please).

Kudos to Jeremy Renner, I enjoy his portrayal of Hawkeye!

  16. The Rainbow Legion

    Hawkeye was in Thor
Avengers was not his 1st movie

  17. Ckl

    Good for him
