It is good that they are not being forced. Others in this country are not getting a choice. Nobody is recognizing natural immunity from having had the virus except for Israel. I hope Florida is grateful for Governor DeSantis. The rest of us are not that fortunate.
I think this whole thing is NUTS. When is the last time an entire population was forced to take a vaccine? Kids don’t even take certain ones if homeschooled. And it is new and with unknown potential risks.
Probably around the time of the last pandemic. Just my guess. And no one is forcing them truly to get it, it’s just that if they want to work at Disney, they will need to have it. So it’s still a choice, but a choice a lot of people didn’t want to have to make. Kind of on them then on which they’d rather deal with.
The last pandemic did not require mandatory vaccines (see ZIKA / Swine Flu).
It’s not a realistic choice. Any company with over a 100 employees is under the federal mandate, and every company has to abide by OSHA regulations. The choice is to keep a paycheck/livelihood (liberty) or be unemployed and lose all things to sustain civilized life, not is this vaccine/medical treatment with coordination of family doctors.
I wasn’t referring to the swine flu or zika since those weren’t pandemics in the same since as this since I heard about swine flu and nothing was locked down nor was anyone required to wear masks. Don’t honestly get why someone would want to take the chance of getting a disease and something happening to them and/or their family when there is a way to help prevent that.
I’m thankful for Florida residents, that they have a strong and courageous governor. I’ve had the first two shots, but I won’t be taking any more. My 22-year old grandson took the first shot and had serious health issues for months afterward, temporarily affecting his ability to work in his new career field (nursing). His doctor told him to never take another one. I have no issues with those that want to wear masks or takes shots, just want the same thing back for those that don’t. Now, if they’d only permanently remove the mask requirement everywhere in WDW, I’d start planning another annual visit…
