Maybe it should be tested at 12pm instead of when the park first opens. Absolutely ridiculous test of the Lightning Lane System.

      Excellent point!

Umm, keep checking throughout the day and watch the weekends and holidays.

Also, it isn’t just about when your return time is, but how long you wait after arriving. Sure the Standby line for Splash may say 5 minutes while you are in Tomorrowland with a return time that is 15 minutes later, but if you stick with the Standby queue, by the time you get over there it could be a 60 minute wait.

That Disney! How sly they are. Now they charge to stand in line, and people are ok with it. People, people, everyone can’t be first. You are going to stand in line, no matter what.
Why are you paying to do it?

Of course there will be some short waits when they open this is stupid lol

  4. I agree with all the comments above. The park just opened so of course the lines are gonna be short. Needs to be tested on a busy day or the weekends. Wednesday right when the park opens not a good example. That would show that the Genie+ is a waste of money. Good job Disney you want people to shell out even more money to pay for what use to be free and you showed them it’s not worth it. Keep doing that and maybe this will go away. I know it won’t because the Disney executives don’t care about the average family anymore they just want the family with disposable incomes and don’t care to pay through the nose for little to no magic anymore.

We were there yesterday and it was a disaster. My daughter has DAS and she would have had to still
stand for an hour in the “lightning lane” which is what she needs to avoid. They also sent a family of 9
in front of us even though we were actually in the queue. It was ridiculous.

So sorry. I hope the stupid Lightning Lane is a complete disaster and it all falls back at the feet of Bob Chapek.

I was there yesterday without genie + and waited 1 hour 50 min for Jungle Cruise. The standby time sign and app both said the wait was 55 min. My kids begged to do it otherwise I wouldn’t have waited.

You need to edit this article wait times are crazy now! You did all older rides at
MK check out wait times at HS and AK 180 minutes.

Hoping this all is a huge fail. Spoke to manager cast members who said this is being rolled out without proper preparation.

Lol you tested this at 9:15am. Of course the wait times are short. What a useless article

My fam was at all 3 parks this week, and we did everything we wanted to do thanks to Genie + and Lightning lanes. We have six grandkids under 12 and did not have to stand in line long at all. Yes it’s expensive but worth it if you can afford it and research how to use it, my daughter did masterfully! We loved it! The wait times were nothing like the article stated. MUCH longer without Genie +
