Honestly things happen, and Ms. Penavega and her husband have proven over the years how much they love their babies and how strong they feel about their religion..So this was not intentional at all.We need to stop making judgemebts where their shouldnt be..

I totally agree there is far too many busy bodies making horrible things up without knowing the truth perhaps so many no longer have Truth!! Children do have accidents..

I don’t think there’s a single parent out there, whether a good parent or bad, that hasn’t witnessed one or all of their babies getting hurt in some kind of accident. Sometimes the kiddos want to help in the kitchen and get cut in something or burnt on something. Shoot, even us adults have our stupid clutzy times. Accidents happen. That’s how we learn sometimes. The going saying around our house is, “when you can prove that you have lived a faultless life, then you can comment and advise on ours.” At least she was there and caring enough to take her baby to the docs. Some “parents” don’t care enough or are so er enough to even do that. If you don’t live in that house, you don’t truly know what happened. Back off!

I accidentally got drug by a car at 4. Luckily we were only going about 5 mph. The door popped open and I fell out and my coat was too big…the only the that saved my hands dragging on the ground. My mom was able to grab me with 1 hand and pulled over and stop. But I drug at least 30 feet. This was in 1981 before car seats. If I would have been in the backseat instead of the front I would have gotten sucked under the wheels and killed.

Stirring up trouble and gossip is all this story does.
Look at the heading. Breed suspicions that something was wrong here.
Negative comments online…happens all the time . Not worthy of a mention
Why did I waste time reading this.

      It was a horrible ACCIDENT.

Stop over sharing with strangers every aspect of your home life maybe?

There’s nothing wrong with them sharing their day to day activities. A lot of people do it. The thing is toxic people on the internet are blaming Alexa for an ACCIDENT.

    2. Phyllis Wilson

The point of sharing is so that others don’t feel alone. Most people have had at least one moment in there life when something happened and they felt like they were alone. Like they were the only one to have those feelings or go through whatever. It shows how her faith helped her. How bad things can happen to anyone but their faith got them through it. Stop being so cynical and judgy maybe?
The world would be a better place if more people shared their experiences.

My Daughter has a permanent scar because I accidentally cracked her head open with the doorknob when she was three. Practically a rite of passage.

On a More serious note, this child will only ever be able to give someone the stump.

My oldest child was 4 when she accidentally shut my middle (who was almost 12 months old) child’s pinky in the bathroom door. It was pretty awful and her “lucky pinky” still has a scar from the stitches. The children’s hospital we took her to was actually doing a study about kids who had door related finger injuries and called us to follow up for a couple years after.
Stuff happens. My oldest and I both felt terrible about it, but we knew it wasn’t her fault.

You’ve got the wrong film tagged by her name.
Alexa PenaVega starred in Repo! The Genetic Opera. RepoMen was the Jude Law film that stole their script and made it boring.

This was supposed to be a top level comment, sorry.

My 18 month old had her finger cut off in a steel door(missing it’s slow-close mechanism) at daycare!! And the worst part was that the substitute teacher that day was hearing impaired which meant my daughter screamed while stuck in the door until another teacher heard her yelling and came to investigate. They didn’t volunteer that information and I only found out from her real teacher who reviewed the tape of what happened!! The daycare offered to pay all her medical records and settle out of court. They knew that they messed up.

People are so quick to judge other people when they have no idea what happened and they also need to mind they’re own business.
My son almost severed his little winky when he was potty training.. The toilet lid came down on it.. I was devastated he took it like a champ he was only 2years old and wanted to use the big boys potty.
The Dr could not stitch it up but told me how to care for it and he’s fine.
Dear people you all need to be nicer to other people and not judge them.. I’m sure all of you who had a negative comment went through something during your lifetime.. So as the saying goes if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all.
    Have a great day..

  11. Back to reality haters! As a parent to 4 and a foster parent to marry more, life happens! We do the very best we can but kids are kids! They have a tendency to move (quickly) to a spot not expected and accidents happen! I give Alexa credit for sharing this as well as the outcome. So often all we hear and read is how perfect and ideal family life is for the actors and actresses we invite into our homes through media. Alexa openly shared that she has a NORMAL FAMILY! And Alexa, don’t feel guilty! It was an accident and I’m sure your little man will remind you of it when he’s older and he wants to try to guilt you into something!

OMG. Trolls go away. Accidents happen. That’s exactly what they are, accidents. It was not done on purpose. I am sure NONE of you have lived through your lives without some kind of accident or caused some kind of accident. Leave them alone. You take joy in other peoples grief and that’s just sick.

If you’ve never accidentally shut your kid’s finger in a door, are you really a parent? If you’ve never accidentally shut anyone’s finger in a door, are you even human?

  14. Kat

You mean Repo! The Genetic Opera (NOT RepoMan)???? Sorry that annoys me badly.
But pretty much every parent has slammed their kids hand in something at least once so anyone saying anything needs to shut it.

Same thing happened to my son at the same age. We felt bad but it was an accident. Thank goodness was not worse.
