The change allowing resort guests the opportunity to purchase time ahead of others is not helping. As a passholder I support WDW 365 days a year and I couldn’t pay for a time when my opportunity came. No ride, including Rise, is worth a 2 hour plus wait. Plus I feel disrespected as an annual passholder. At least give passholders the same opportunity as a resort patron.

You don’t get it. Genie+ and lightning lane aren’t designed for passholders. The company doesn’t profit from us, we are just there to draw others into the park and pontificate about Disney. We offer Disney no financial gains. These services are designed for that “once in a lifetime” visit or for high income families that will go to the parks every several years. In both of those cases these guests spend far more per day per person than we do as passholders. They aren’t looking to please the discount takers but to provide an option for those who are ready and willing to pay pay pay.

What angers me as one of the tourist visitors, is that they unleashed this program after I booked a stay offsite to make it easier for my special needs son. Was on the fence to stay on property or off. Now we will be at a huge disadvantage every day and didn’t even know we were doing this to ourselves. I need to be on some type of happy pill when we go next month, otherwise my cynical self will ruin this trip for everyone!!

I’ve been in line for 3 hours 40 mins so far. Sometimes we move and sometimes we stand still for long periods of time. When we got in line the sign said 115 minute wait. Clearly that was incorrect.
