Marking a movie down for having some sort of LGBTQIA+ representation just shows how the world hasn’t changed as much as we’d like. Had the movie been receiving poor reviews for a poor quality movie or because of the over-saturation of superhero movies, absolutely fair enough, but it’s just sad in this day and age that if there’s two people of the same sex kissing some people feel the world is imploding.

And you evidence that this is why it is being review bombed? I mean we can’t actually look at the reviews as they were removed. There are a lot of reasons people might have to not like this move (the cast, gender and race swapping characters, the unknown characters, the antagonists). I said when this was first announced it would be a gamble. Not the most well known or well liked group in comics.

Ghostbusters earned their reviews the old fashioned way. That movie was bad.

It was. People hated it before it came out because of information they had, interviews with the cast and crew and from trailers. The same thing could be happening here.

    2. Ghostbusters is Terrible

I watched Ghostbusters on TV without knowing anything about its reviews or reputation. I liked the original Ghostbusters and thought this one should be good enough. Then the movie just got so bad that I couldn’t finish watching it. It was so boring! And mind you, I don’t care if a movie is “woke”, I liked Amazon’s Cinderella, even though many people criticize it for being “woke”, but I thought it was interesting. Ghostbusters isn’t. You have 3 women, all with extremely boring personalities, no chemistry between them, and not the least bit funny. Basically, the movie turned Ghostbusters into feminine angst. Instead of watching them bust ghosts, you see them freaking out like a bunch of menopausal women. It’s just the worst plot ever.

Captain Marvel got trolled by reviews because Brie Larson started spewing a bunch of feminist anti-male nonsense before the release of the movie, not because it was a movie about a female superhero. Stop lying

Not that I’m defending the review bombing – in fact, I just left a comment on a video posted by the goof who runs The Quartering channel on YouTube deriding his attempt to rationalize a review left by someone who hasn’t actually seen the film as somehow still being legitimate – but it is worth noting that the professional critics aggregator on Rotten Tomatoes isn’t exactly a love letter to the film. Eternals has one of the lowest critic scores for an MCU movie in some time. Once it’s released, there’s a real possibility that it will continue to receive poor audience reviews from people who have seen it..

If the lgbtqiaodkexh have a problem with not enough representation, they need to make their own movies… let people make movies how they want to make them without worrying whether a bunch of gay people are gonna like it….

Captain Marvel didn’t get poor reviews because she was a woman. As someone else said, stop lying.

People were strangely conflating their idea of a bad movie tho. To rate Captain Marvel anywhere near Thor 2 or even DC’s trash pile Batman v. Superman suggests people’s criticism were not in line with common sense. Captain Marvel is about as good as the first Thor movie and close to Guardians of the Galaxy first movie. That’s why people say reviewers were overreacting. Alot of these same reviewers will argue until death that Batman v. Superman was a good movie.
