We’re really excited to visit this restaurant. Disney thoroughly engages their guests in every experience. Universal Studios throws up a few pictures and calls it themed. We were quite bored and underwhelmed at our first visit to Universal Studios Orlando. Their shame might be funny, but they are definitely trying to overcompensate.
I’m on the fence with Space 220. While I like the concept (which is a nod to the defunct SeaBase Alpha), I was not impressed with the food and the price that goes for each person. Clearly, this was suppose to EPCOT version of Cinderella’s Royal Table. But I thought that’s what Akershus was for. To be honest, my family will be taking this on a wait and see approach like all the rest that’s coming out from Disney Parks.
There are lots of fantastic restaurants at Disney World, to the point where it’s difficult to choose. Universal has lots of restaurants, but other than Mythos, none of them are particularly great or memorable. Now I certainly haven’t tried Space 220 yet, but it definitely sounds more interesting than an oversized sports bar and based on the other restaurants at both resorts, Disney is much more likely to have a restaurant worth going back to.

Only a boring person is bored. Enjoy Disney and leave us fun people to our own universal devices.

I think it’s clever of Universal to have this ongoing rivalry. Totally amusing!
