Typical Disney movie. Take the most beloved character in Star Wars and turn him into an imperial soldier. That’s all that they are good for is dark movies and ruining already great characters.
Actually a LOT of this was done in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. The EU had such goodies as Luke turning to the dark side, the emperor’s hand, yet another Death Star-like weapon, and the emperor’s clone (sound familiar?). Disney was supposed to have relegated all that to the Legends category. Instead they snuck all that crap into the sequel trilogy.

Absolutely no one here read the actual article I guess, considering it’s a LEGO animation that has zero bearing on canon.
Bunch of bonafide geniuses around these parts, aye?

Thank you. From what I read, I guess it’s purely for fun…

Hmmm….. A lot of people forget what Luke was whining and complaining about at the start of the movie…
What do you think the “Academy” was that he wanted to put his application in for?!?
It was the “Imperial Naval Academy” so he could become a pilot….

Just like Kathleen Kennedy

Yep, never seen Luke Skywalker wearing imperial armour before…. Except in that iconic scene in A New Hope.
Its astounding how little knowledge you need to be a journalist these days.
