I would certainly welcome a Princess and the Frog 2. The original movie was done so beautifully. Disney can use it as a promotion tool for Tiana’s new attraction at Florida’s Magic Kingdom. It would be sad if Disney pushed 2021 woke into it. 2021 is the wrong time period anyway.
Okay, hear me out! First of all, I LOVE ‘Princess and the Frog’, it’s a beautiful movie and wonderful music. I’m very excited for the ‘Tiana’ series on Disney+, but I DON’T want a movie sequel or a live action remake of it. I have a feeling that if this particular story was given a sequel it’d end up feeling like the straight-to-video sequels like The Little Mermaid 2, Peter Pan 2 etc. I have a couple of ideas in how to take classic fairytales and give them an inclusivity twist but I’m sequelled out. Of course I’d see it, but I wouldn’t want it.
Even worse, it’d end up like Frozen II, The Incredibles 2, or Ralph Breaks the Internet, pitch itself to the female demographic, be ENTIRELY obsessed with empowerment-fantasies for Tiana, and throw Naveen pretty much in the trash.
…Although, CtToI, that was basically the first movie.
I’m excited to see the 2nd part, and her new series on Disney+. But Princess Tiana deserves her own ride and restaurant by retheming Tom Sawyer Island better than retheming Splash Mountain in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom

No. The first one was just ok, not great. If it took Disney 12 years to give this movie/Princess any sort of acknowledgment, then it couldn’t have been that successful. I would enjoy a new attraction for PATF with a ride track similar to Pirates. Leave Splash Mountain alone!
I would love to see a two delve into Tiana and Naveens life and build them a family and then a 3 where it could be a little like shrek and they go to naveens home and tiana has to do princess type work where he is from maybe bring lottie where she could find and fall unexpectedly in love with a simple down to earth man who works hard kinda like Tiana.
