This is going to be a disaster. PLEASE, don’t ruin the National Treasure series. I truly think, if done right and the original characters, played by the original actors, could be as successful as The Pirates of the Caribbean movies!!
SJ bomb. Just reboot the series using younger actors (Chris Platt and Bryce Howard have decent chemistry) and have Nick Cage playing the John Voight roll. Using kids is stupid and plays along with The Walking Dead: World Beyond theme.
Not interested. When you want National Treasure,it you want the original. Just like Pirates — I have no interest in watching NT without the original cast or Pirates without Johnny Deep. Can’t you find these talented kids another vehicle.
I agree with All of these other commentators here. The movies and the Original Characters Are the Best. Why in the world does Disney ALWAYS DO THIS? Having “Younger Talent” isn’t always the best or right direction to go. I could see if Nick Cage & John Voit were to Old to keep acting, sure go right ahead, but I don’t see Any of these Wonderful and Very Talented actors slowing down any time soon. So why Fix something that isn’t broken 😡😡😡
I think this is wonderful! Face it, we’re getting older. While I love the idea of using Nicholas Cage as Jonn Voight’s character, we need new younger actors too. Disney can do it with good writers and good actors. They’ve already gotten the original writers so I can’t wait to see the end result!
The USA is a National Treasure because of our different cultures. The only natives here are sadly mistreated (for example) by our ancestors killing them and forcing them onto reservations and now forcing oil pipelines through those reservations!
The rest of us are immigrants or children of immigrants. What do you bring to the table? Love and acceptance or hate and intolerance?
Why does EVERYTHING Disney do now have a “woke” theme? The story could not be about a group kids going on a adventure, but of a “DREAMer”? I’ll pass just like I did with “Wokearella”
