  1. I’m not going to judge her because what I say will probably not be appropriate because I don’t know how old her child was at the time. When we took ours to Disney, we told the kids that if they got separated from us to find a cast member ( a person with a name tag on). Years later, our teen got separated from us and lost her cell phone on Expedition Everest (she left it on the seat next to her and was surprised it fell out of the car). Who knew? We were lucky that we saw her walking in a crowd, because she didn’t think to go to a cast member for help (her plan was to go back to the resort and call us from there). The Disney staff found her cell phone in the Animal Kingdom wilderness and we picked it up at the TTC. I say all that to say this, talk to your kids about a plan. What do I do if we get separated? Pick a meeting point, look for a cast member, etc.
