Why do we have to label and placate to certain groups out there? That is what causes the division in society. Just be who you are and stop trying to rub it in everyone’s face that you’re being edgy when it is so far from the edge you are practically in the middle of the plate. Yes it use to be oh this actor came out of the closet so they must be so lonely. Now you can’t open a news feed anywhere without hearing about an alphabet letter being named. Just stop and just be who you are. As a conservative heterosexual male that prefers he and him, I am tired of the labeling.
Mike, As a gay man, I agree. Honestly, I would have watched the movie either way, and would have rather been pleasantly surprised while watching to see a marriage that I can more closely relate to, rather than have it spoiled for me by putting it out there for brownie points before the movie’s even out. I hope we can reach a point soon when that is the case, and the norm.
