So many changes at WDW this past year… but this one really hurts. It was my favorite show that I never missed when I visited. Thanks to all of the cast members in the Big Blue World. You brought so much magic to so many.

    1. Agree!! Another bad decision by Disney execs. Not much reason to go to AK anymore as it is now just another zoo!!!

  2. This is such heartbreaking news. If you have never seen it this was the best show ever at Disneyworld and would of paid an extra fee to see it!! Lion King is not even a close second to this show. This is another one of the bad sections Disney continues to be making! My heart is hurting to know I will never see this tremendous show again!!!

No real loss here, this show was awful, I am sure they can easily.come up with a replacement, maybe amputating your leg, that is much better.

Disney USED to be the leader in LIVE entertainment.
In the past year, they’ve shown us their REAL priorities:
Fleecing guests with every increasing admission prices
Over priced after hour parties (the Christmas one tops out at $249)
Under delivering (still no parades, many shows STILL not open ex. Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones, Fantasmic, etc)

But since guests don’t seem to care that they are paying more and getting less in return, Chapek and his minions are content with squeezing the last drop of blood from these people.

    A sad, sad day.

While ticket prices skyrocket Disney continues to make huge cuts in what makes the Disney World experience one of a kind. I am looking more and more at Universal. They have stepped up there game with Harry Potter. My happy place is vanishing before my eyes.

It’s getting more and more frustrating walking by empty performance venues at Disney World these days. Bringing back live performance is definitely a back burner issue for Disney, and now to the point where they are cutting the shows entirely. This was absolutely a money decision and I wouldn’t be surprised if they demolish the theater and put a new ride in it’s place because that is more cost effective. Disney World will be a city of construction walls for the foreseeable future….it already is now as Future World has been an empty dirt pile for going on 2 years now.
