Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of the most popular coasters on property. However, this morning it looks like the Park isn’t busy because the attraction posted a 0-minute wait time — something that is very uncommon!
Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom are always eager to climb aboard the train and venture up into Mount Everest. Because of this, the ride usually has one of the highest wait times at the Park, but today, that isn’t the case. At the time of publication, Expedition Everest posted a 0-minute wait.
This is very uncommon as usually, even if a ride is a walk-on, the wait time would still post at least a 5-minute wait, so seeing 0-minutes on the My Disney Experience app was a shock! If you are planning to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the near future, it looks like you will be dealing with minimal wait times and low crowds — so take advantage while you can!
We also want to note that if you are visiting Walt Disney World next year, unfortunately, Expedition Everest will be closed for refurbishment from January 4, 2022 to mid-April.
More on Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The Walt Disney World website describes Expedition Everest as:
Wander into a Tibetan village at the base of Mount Everest and board a train to the “top of the world.”
Beware: Some say a legendary snow monster lives deep in the mountain.
After a steep ascent, your train picks up speed and races into the darkness. Without warning, a broken and twisted track appears in front of you. Brace yourself as you plummet backward into total darkness. Inside the cavern, the mythical tale comes true as you see the shadow of a massive, growling beast!
Race to escape the cursed mountain—before the Yeti claims another expedition.
