It’s never too early to get into the holiday spirit, and what better place to celebrate the Merriest Time of Year than at the Disneyland Resort? Disney has decided to give Guests an early Christmas gift and has announced the dates for its Christmas celebration.
And there are even more days to enjoy Christmas magic this year!
Disney Parks Blog shared the exciting news and the extended dates.
The Disneyland Resort will once again transform into a merry and magical place as guests return to enjoy their holiday season here, Nov. 12, 2021. You’ll have three more days to celebrate the Holidays, too, because we’re extending it through Jan. 9, 2022.
As you visit to make new memories this year, many beloved traditions are back that will provide you with cheerful entertainment, yuletide treats, specialty merchandise, sparkling décor and seasonal transformations of select attractions!
Typically, Christmas at Disneyland ends after the first weekend in January. However, since Disneyland was closed last Christmas because of the pandemic, it seems that they want Guests to be able to celebrate the Christmas season for as long as possible.
Disneyland Resort always goes all out for Guests and fully immerses them in Christmas magic — and this year will be no different. Disneyland will bring back its popular “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, along with its “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks show. And that is just at Disneyland!
The Christmas spirit will also be found at Disney California Adventure Park as Disney brings back the much-loved Festival of the Holidays — Disney’s Christmas-themed food festival. Booths will be set up throughout the theme park and Guests can find a ton of yummy offerings — past options include specialty tamales, sticky toffee pudding, turkey sliders, and more.
In addition to Festival of the Holidays, Cars Land will receive a holiday makeover. Decorations will be found all around Route 66 and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will become Mater’s Jingle Jamboree. Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will become Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl.
And don’t forget to head over to Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa where Christmas continues in the form of a giant, completely edible gingerbread house. The house is different every year, so it is always fun to see.
