Just spent 7 days at the parks, with my last day being Saturday. While the crowds leading up to the weekend were light, Saturday was insanely busy. So packed that on our last day there, we got to do practically nothing. Checked out yesterday feeling super sad that the day before had been such a bust because of extremely heavy crowds. I don’t know who’s writing all the articles, but they clearly aren’t in the parks on those days. Saturday was for sure a 9/10 for crowd levels.
Lies!!! I’m currently at Disney world and Hollywood studios is a nightmare!! We arrived at 8:50am before park was set to open at 9:00am to a 70 minute slinkydog wait, 30 minute toy story mania and a 30 minute spinning aliens. Yesterday Magic kingdom was horrible no walking room let alone short wait times and splash mountain was broken for most of the burning hot day. However up until Friday those wait times would have been accurate. We were able to do all of Hollywood studios by 3pm on Wednesday including lunch reservations and ride of the resistance. Thursday we did all of Animal Kingdom and Epcot by 6pm including lunch and dinner reservations. But the weekend became hell with even fights breaking out at parks.
This article is bogus. Labor Day weekend, Saturday through Monday the parks were bulging at the seams. We were at Epcot on Saturday and could hardly mover with up to an hour or so wait times on attractions. Sunday at Hollywood Studios 70-90 minute wait times and also too crowded. Today, Labor Day, at Animal Kingdom it was the same, long wait times and seemed to be near full capacity. But, if you advertise low crowds you’ll get more visitors.
We were at Walt Disney World in August- specifically August 26-31. The wait times were close to non-existent. The longest wait time at any of the parks was only 20 minutes and that was at Aerosmith Rock and Roller Coaster. We timed every line we got in and 99% of the time the times were shorter than posted by at least 5-15 minutes.
Completely untrue for this weekend. We came Friday for the weekend hoping the crowds would be low as they have been for weeks, but Saturday and Sunday there were crushed. The lines just to get in Hollywood Studios were insane until noon, one cast member told us they haven’t seen crowds like this in months and we’re unprepared. Wait times have been high all weekend.
I was checking the app and couldn’t understand this article – clearly the waits were very long. It makes me worried seeing all these low crowd blog posts and wondering if thats true. We have tickets for 9/19-26
Not looking like the pictures friends of mine who are there since Friday for the labor day weekend…. Their pictures showed a crowded park and a majority of the people maskless.
We were hoping to get there in January for our 2 year old son to experience Disney, lines and all. But then they changed their mask rules. Out little guy has Down Syndrome and can’t wear a mask as he has cognitive delays. We were so disappointed with their zero tolerance mask rules. We spoke with guest services and there was no budge for our sweet boy. We hope he can experience it one day.
If you notice those wait times are right after the park opened. We waited over 30 min today for Na’vi river journey and the flight ride was over an hour wait at Animal kingdom and yesterday for we wait over an hour for splash mountain.
This website isn’t posting a accurate article? Gasp! It’s par for the course for them.
This is such a misrepresentation of actual wait times.
It should state that if you get to the park at opening you’ll enjoy very low wait times and can get a few attractions done before the large crowds show up. After 10, it’s busy.
We were at Epcot on Sunday September 5th. The place was packed. The lines for food were ridiculous. Not sure what some people call “ low crowds “, but I can tell you that Epcot was packed.
Was just there last week. We did hollywood on tue, magic on wed and epcot on Thursday and longest wait we had the whole trip was 25 min for slinky. Most we just walked right onto the rides or close to it.
With all of the price gouging Disney does, via hidden costs, fees, and their new Fast Past system, as well as the elimination/cutting back other activities, aI’m not surprised park attendance is so low. A family of four, with modest means, would have to sabe for YEARS to afford a Disney vacation, even if they decide to stay off Disney property.
If anyone knows Animal Kingdom mornings, when they open almost everyone goes to Pandora. There are hardly any waits at Safari, Everest, Dinosaur or Kali until after 10.
Between 10:00 and 10:30 their lines can back up to 30-60 minutes in mere moments due to people finishing Pandora.
Disney is paying the price for getting rid of free fastpasses and charging extra fees to ride rides. It’s going to take more than what Disney’s doing to get the Genie out of the bottle.
People are honestly surprised that the parks are crowded on a holiday weekend? Seriously? We never go on weekends or holidays. Always too crowded. The week before was low and the levels so far this week are also very low. We will be arriving next week and we only go to the parks during the week. We expect to breeze thru the this trip.
We are not paying thousands of dollars to visit a once magical place to be yelled and screamed at. I’m not wearing a useless mask in the Florida heat just to be a virtue signaler. Glad we went many times over the years, because the politically correct crowd has now taken over. “Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls”, changed to “dreamers”. What a crock.

Full of crap @ Studios now and place is packed!!

Not sure what world you’re living in, but wait times were pushing an hour plus by 9:30 at HS this morning with multiple rides closed for hours.
Tony
So you post no wait lies, so people can run to the park. Tsk tsk

According to MDE, MK was scheduled to open at 9:00 this morning. No wonder the “lines” we’re so short!

They just turned on the censor filter because the management does not like the 99% fact checker comments.
