What! They’re not gonna make enough money off of Genie to hire extra people? How about raising the price on the parking? How about not taking millions in executive bonuses?
Remember stand in line wait your turn pass it on!
Unless the unpaid training is new. That is not new. Plus the pay scale for the reservation center is higher than any other position minus corporate. They do get commission too.
You’ve called the wrong number. That was the old ticketing number you were calling so you must have gotten rerouted into the wrong queues. The correct number to call is 407-WDISNEY (407-934-7639).
Called today at 7am. Was on hold for 3 hrs and 45 mins. No reservations available at any restaurant for dinner in Epcot on Nov 1. Was told to keep trying. This was not my first time calling. It was my 8th time. Shortest wait time was 1 hr. Since we are a party of 10 I need 2 reservations and you cannot do this online. If my grandkids did not know we were going I would cancel. This will be my last Disney trip. There is nothing MAGICAL about this
Customer service cost money, and spending money on silly things like this minimizes my bonus.

P.S. Disney is not going to get any better unless you get my a$$ fire. Good luck with that because I am giving the stockholders what they want. They don’t care if I wreck the company, as long as next quarter’s numbers look good.
Maybe they need to have a lightning lane for phone calls… Give us 100 dollars and ur wait time to chat “may be under an hr” but like life there is no guarantee of that!
Give,,, Greedy man chapek is never ever going to give anything. He takes, destroys, ruins and keeps his toe out of the destruction he creates. Non disney fan creep.
I think having an article like this is unfair.
Could I also remind you that yesterday it was announced that the restrictions on the UK were bein GB lifted in November, so there’s bound to be an influx of calls. Plus it’s the 50th anniversary, it’s gonna be busy. No matter the size of the company, there’s always always only going to be a certain amount of cast members answering phones, as opposites to the probable thousands of customers trying to sort their vacations out. Be patient guys, everyone will be served eventually, but an article like this makes the guys who face abuse and more everyday worse. And if you don’t like it, get a travel agent.
lets guess, you are a disney phone person. I have been trying to talk to a live person since the end of June… Never happens. I work for living and have a family at night. Try answering your once in awhile Nathan.
Makes everything worse? I would think it makes things better. Every phone operator is like Cinderella — people wait in line for hours just to talk to you! How special is that?
Thought this was about the Space 220 line yesterday! My family and I arrived at 2:10 to a line that almost stretched to Test Track. We waited and got in around 5:00, an almost 3 hour wait. Others waited a lot longer than us, a family arrived at 11 and didn’t get in until 3-4PM.
Nothing new. Waited 2.5 hours only to be cut off. Had to wait an additional 2 hours after immediately calling back trying to make reservations, when Port Orleans, Riverside opened for reservations.
Customer service cost money, and spending money on silly things like this minimizes my bonus.

I had to call Disney 2 separate days in order to do my dining reservations due to us staying at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace at Disney Springs. I couldn’t make the reservations online like I did back in January. Sept. 16th I waited 4.25 hours and by the time I was done it was over 5 hours total of holding and talk time. Since we are staying a few weeks I couldn’t make my other reservations after the 10 day mark. Had to call back 2 days later and this time 3.50 how wait time and 30 minutes talk time. The agents said for some reason they are having issues with their systems. I don’t know what’s up but something needs to change.

They pay resort phone agents $9 an hour. Several weeks of unpaid training. Wonder why the have a shortage?????

You sure about the unpaid training?

I doubt it’s for Space 220. I had a 4 hour wait in July. I’ve heard that’s pretty normal, actually 🤷🏻♀️

You need to book with a trusted travel advisor! They will be on hold until they fossilize…lol
MadHatter
Use MouseWait I scored Oga’s Cantina for 9:00pm reservation. If you want texting alerts it’s $9/month. If you only want email it’s free alerts.

So you called just to test this without and actual question and tied up the phone line further. Great move ITM.

One person doesn’t tie up the phone.

Really… U must be one of the phone agents… Disney is short handed and would never admit it… But they don’t mind taking your money…

It’s not unfair, it’s true. It’s worthy news. That way people are prepared.

When wait time is long, better to hang up and call later. Disney might be having a computer problem or something. They do quite often.
