I will be visiting the Magic Kingdom on October 1. At Paris Disneyland you can go up on the balcony at the castle. I have a wonderful picture of my son doing this very thing.
I worked Fantasyland custodial for the College Program, in 2018. I saw many guests do this, and even personally confronted some about it a hand full of times. This really isn’t news, it happens all the time.
those persons who violate the rules shouldn’t be given any publicity. the last time we were at disney a family tried to steal a coconut. another instance a man said I paid 5 grand for my vacation I am going to do what I want. we go to have a good time. and get away for a week.
Wtf is wrong with people no common sense they are always trying to do something they are not . I hope they get band for the parks. Maybe teach them a lesson .
Don’t judge – I’m a leftist and I think this guy’s an idiot. If he’d gotten injured during his adventure, he probably would have tried to sue Disney for building an attractive nuisance!
This jerk probably felt Disney was not being Inclusive enough by denying him access to that area.
How dare none enforce any type of segregation or separation of individuals! I demand to be allowed to be there because Disney now has the Inclusion Key!!!
My husband and I first visited WDW in 1973, 1 year after we were married and 1 year after the park opened. We fell in love again with WDW and have periodically visited with our family through these many wonderful years since. As we too will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in November of 2022, our plans start with a WDW stay in November of this year so our family can join in the 50th festivities in our adored Disney atmosphere! There’s nothing like a fresh breath of Disney to go back to the humble beginning, “thanks Walt for making our dreams come true.”
Yea, it’s just too much to expect visitors to stay out of restricted areas. Does Disney need to start posting guards everywhere because people lack respect and the ability to follow rules?
Lifetime ban for people that do stupid stuff like this. Rules for thee but not for me. And make the banning VERY public. Unfortunately tho, some will view this as a chance to get 15 minutes of fame and multiple views to their social media posts.

This is what is wrong with today’s youth. They were not raised by their parents, but by the video games & tv, so they have no respect for people, rules and need to be taught what is right/ wrong. People it is called “PARENTING”, and “DISCIPLINE”, without it their kids run around like “Banshees”. Wake up and smell the coffee, and teach your kids that. “DO ONTO OTHERS, AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO ONTO YOU”.
That’s absurd. You’re complaining about additional words in an article?! This is a story as much as reporting on temporary ride closure or when a guest is injured in park. If you’re looking for a mythical Walter Cronkite of Disney, good luck, let us know who manages to meet your journalistic integrity requirements. I’m interested to know what kind of reporting I’m missing out on.
I agree that they recycle a lot of filler content, but that’s the way the game is played. They have to put out content or traffic inline falls. Articles have to be written for SEO and that means the crappy recycled content.
I will be there on the very first day of the kick off for the 50th, we leave for Fortwilderness in 10 days, cant wait. was there when it opened and ben many times inbetween and now will be there for this mile stone.
Comments for Disney World Guest Climbs to Restricted Area on Cinderella Castle
beautiful gorgeous
I guess the velvet ropes and cast member only signs were not effective.

They never are. Too many guests operate under the guise, ‘I’ve paid enough money to do whatever I want, wherever I want and whenever I want’.
Susan
There’s always someone who goes against the grain … didn’t learn social boundaries growing up.

I Totally Agree! They Had To Agree To Following Disney’s Widely Posted Policies. In Order To Purchase A Ticket m

Banned* 🙂

Didn’t Say Anything If Was Banned or Not! But Should Be Banned And Escorted Directly Off Disney’s Property!
E
They banned an ex employee for life for similar activities.
Sherryrry Avery
I was there in July 2021 for our family vacation, but I’m going back in November for my birthday.
Gayle
I’m Hoping He Got Banned. Disney Widely States Their Policies Every Where. You Actually Agreed To Follow Those Policies When You Purchased a Ticket!!
Robyn
Leftist scum ruin everything they touch. How do I know he is a leftist? Look at the picture.

You’re going to be seriously disappointed. Woke Disney has gone down the drain. The magic is gone forever.

WDW opened in 1971. So I hope you’ll be celebrating with them during your 49th year of marriage. Congratulations!
Buckalew
Totally read this wrong! Enjoy your trip! Happy Anniversary!

What is the point of have a rope to block off a area of the castle to a guest that would mean nothing. A guest could easily duck under it.
Kamm

Unfortunately, yes. And in this day and age, armed.

Someone needs to go back to journalism score. This article was completely written upside down!
Nick
If you’re going to criticize, you can’t write “journalism score” instead of “journalism school” if you want to be taken seriously.

Someone call Suction Cup Man, someone’s stealing his bit.

Looks Amish. The darn Amish up their old tricks again.

So this guy gets a temporary ban, but whatever happened to the girl who snatched a cucumber in Living with the Land???

Permanent expulsion from any Disney park should do the trick. There’s a reason they have signs to follow… 😠
Tim
I’ve read that the Cinderella Castle is made of fiberglass. What parts?
