This sucks. For the first time in over 30 years, I won’t have a Disney Store nearby. Where will I get my dose of Disney Magic? The website has cool stuff but it’s just not the same as being in the store. The stores were a 15 minute ride from my house. The parks, on the other hand, are at least a 3 1/2 hour flight, 5 night hotel room stay, and a $150 a day park ticket away. So that’s really stupid that they think offering a seamless, in-app experience is going to help most people. Oh well, a chapter in my life has closed forever.

I live in Canada and always went to a Disney store as opposed to online shopping because the international shipping fees are outrageous! No more Christmas Disney shopping for me.

My children and I were at minimum weekly shoppers at our Disney store. We knew the employees and we loved going. True there is online, but I never quite liked it. It never felt special, thus did not make it worth the shopping and ridiculous shipping fees. So we were devoted store shoppers. To see it empty on its last days, was truly heart breaking. It was toys r us all over again, except this time it was taking away the magic of Disney. I sure hope corporate finds this worth it for their pockets, because as much as they think people love online shopping, they will quickly find the rude surprise that people bought Disney due to physical magic of the employees and its stores. When it comes to online, unless they have major sales, they become no different then other retailers. Nothing special any more. No more magic. So long Disney RIP 2021

  3. Yup. Disney Stores are closings all over USA and Canada.
