I suspect any major changes will be in terms of upgraded weaponry. After all, that is his “father’s” armor and probably has considerable emotional value.

    1. Paul

Well he already cleaned up and repainted his armour so I’m guessing he modifies it to fit him better since he is a lot bigger now

  2. Paul R Blakely

His helmet will be upgraded to an N95 mask.

His armor already has a new look that we saw at the end of Mando season 2. I think this is being thought into too much.

      1. Ion

Omg! Why do they keep screwing with perfection. His ship is slave 1 period. I’m so sick of Disney screwing with everything and thinking they can do whatever they want. I’ll stick with the expanded universe version of events. Disney and filoni can eat a 🍆

        1. Mitch

Hey now! Don’t shoot the messenger here: Filoni probably didn’t want the ship name changed anymore than you or I, but think of how hard it is to have creative freedom with Kathleen the Hutt breathing down you neck. It’s mind-blowing that Darth Kennedy even allowed Boba to come back from the grave. But don’t mistake that as praise on my part: bringing back Fett was CLEARLY not her idea. Anyone that was part of greenlighting the garbage that was the sequel trilogy can’t have a creative bone in their body.

Boba Fett will be wearing female mandalorian armor as he will be transitioning.

    1. Paul

Uh oh Looks like we found an actual insecure cuck unwanted by women.

      1. The Emperor

At least you admit you are one. So stunning and brave on your part.

    2. The Emperor

Given Lucafilms track record of “men are trash, whamen are better” I wouldn’t be surprised

      1. Phoenix

Not if Favreau and Filoni are in charge! They might not be the bosses of Star Wars in name, but we all know that they are way better in any and all ways than Kathleen Kennedy.

    3. Mitch

I have to admit, this actually sounds fun. If Disney is going to be Woke, they should go Full Woke. Let’s throw in Stormtroopers in lingerie, a gender-ambiguous Sarlacc and a flashback with Vader talking about his abandonment issues, and everyone will be happy.

  4. USAgent Black

My strong feeling is that he will don BLACK armor, as has been seen in the comics. Seems like a no-brainer.

  5. Grant Blacksaber

WHY NOT. This is an extention of who Bobba is, and why not improve his armour given the chance. Its who he is. Why wouldn’t he.

  6. Apparently this article is trying to stir up nontroversy.

  7. The Emperor

Boba will look for revenge on Solo, but depends on the version he is stuck with. If EU, then this will be interesting. If the Crap Wars version, he doesn’t need to. The Story group, Jar Jar, Ruin and Krapleen have done the job for him.

    1. Phoenix

Crap Wars as in Attack of the Clones, or The Clone Wars? Because while I loved both, The Clone Wars gave us a way better backstory than just “dead parent so badguy now.” If Favreau and Filoni are in charge of this project, it will undoubtedly be great, as they have often already drawn on the EU for their ideas.

I highly doubt that there will be any super big changes. In The Mandalorian S. 2, he repainted it, ruining the kinda “worn” look, but that’s understandable, given that he likely wants to erase any sign of when it was worn by Cobb Vanth. The only real change with this was that the marks on the side of his helmet are red instead of yellow. This is not a retcon, this is symbolism. The colors of Mandalorian armor mean certain things, not necessarily that they just liked those colors (except for Sabine, pretty sure she just randomly picked colors for her armor). Boba’s colors are red, yellow, and green. Red means respect for a leader or a parent, green stands for a sense of duty, and yellow/gold for vengeance. The marks on Boba’s helmet each stood for a Jedi he had killed, and the fact that he’s changed them from yellow to red means that his goals have changed from “death to all jedi” to honoring his father, Jango. I can’t imagine that he would change it much further, as the armor does have quite a bit of sentimental value to him, so I would say that the biggest change we see is that his clothing went from white/gray to black, and perhaps a few color changes on his armor. Other than that, there seems to be no real reason for changes. If you’re worried about the plasticky look from the new paint, that won’t last long- with the amount of fight’s he’s going to get into, that brand new paint job isn’t going to last long.

If Disney learned one thing from Iron Man, it’s new armor = more action figures and merch they can sell. Of course they’re going to change it. This cash cow still has miles to run!

    1. He who controls the cash, controls the universe. The cash must flow.

  10. Boba Fett isnt Boba Fett without his armor.

Goddamnit. Why destroy an established character? Just create another empty she’ll like Din Jharin or whatever the heck his name is

    1. Phoenix

They aren’t changing it much. This is just raising a giant stink over a few minor changes. His armor has been repainted, presumably to erase all traces of Cobb Vanth, and the yellow marks on his helmet are now red. So what? This is some good ole’ character development. It’s not erasing the old Boba Fett, it’s just giving him room to grow.

    2. Phoenix

And please, for the mercy of Mandalore, can there be just one person in the galaxy who can spell Din Djarin’s name right?!

  11. Stu

Yeah, nah, Slave 1 is still Slave 1 they just aren’t putting it on kids toys any more. It’s still Slave 1 in the games, comics and books, and it’s always been a Firespray-31 class ship.

As for Fetts armour, meh, he can get new threads, this is a continuation of his story so where they go from here is completely up to the showrunners…

  12. Frigatedoc

    Sell toys perhaps?

  13. Darthchuckmc

Michael Carter was Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi. Sound Editor Matthew Wood played the older, heavier Bib in The Mandolorian as well as younger version of him in The Phantom Menace during the pod race scene as a spectator

  14. Brendan

They can change his armor without pissing off fans. 🙄 That is effectively a character decision that doesn’t alter the core of the character (presuming it is well-written.) What upsets fans, and what really upset me about the whole Slave I fiasco is that we are extending social mores of our own society on a character in a fictional one, not to mention that it alters the very nature of that character’s persona. It’s like the Han shoots first thing—why make a character more PC? To please children? To make ourselves feel better? You did it one way to start with, don’t go back and try to sugarcoat it. You can’t remake a casserole after its already been eaten. Sure, you can make a new one and change the recipe, but after its been eaten don’t expect anyone to want anything but what they expect, and they expect quality.

  15. Christopher

I speculate that the wookee scalps will no longer be present. And while I am sure there are many out there who will freak out and threaten to boycott claiming this change will be for some PC – PETA statement, it would be a logical progression because it’s doubtful the organic material would survive the Sarlacc
