I am reaching out to you by the way of the Force. First I would like to say that I am dead. My ship blew up and it hurt very badly. Second, you need to use this time to find girlfriends and to find places of your own. I have been very busy now doing Force Ghost things (spoliers) and they were correct to bring Luke into the scene. They got it right. May the force be with us all.
They don’t know what their talking about these are non Star wars fans just plucking snipers and tweets for their agenda anyways, true fans know plo got blown up in his starship and no chance on surviving doesn’t require much research unless disney pulls a mouse out their ass like with palpatine
The only reason Plo Koon was chosen as a stand-in was Dave Filoni’s enjoyment of the character. Even this handful of people that tweeted in support of “Plo Kool” would admit it makes no sense to bring the character back compared to Luke.🙄
Lol. You wish, TLJ fan boys. You just hate that Luke was redeemed after what Ruin Johnson did to him. That’s what this is about and we all know it. “Ability without training is nothing”. Still stings, huh? Hahahahahahaha!
Literally nobody, not one Star Wars fan agrees with this. Not. One.
We literally saw him die in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Him coming back doesn’t make any sense at all(just like Palpatine coming back didn’t make sense, Disney might do it anyway).
Palpatine coming back did make sense, this was something that even happened in the expanded universe long before Disney bought Lucasfilm. The problem is Disney had no concrete story plan and figured individual directors could come in and make it work, which obviously wasn’t the case. They needed 1 director to helm the whole project, and continued to fail after that mistake.
Expanded Universe is not Star Wars. Atleast not the George Lucas Star Wars which is the real and true STAR WARS (prequels and sequels being the exception, neither being a part of Star Wars).
Yeah they basically took the EU version with cloned bodies which was a big part of Palpitines return in the EU and made it a never explained side note in the movies
I just wish it was anybody but a Skywalker. There is a whole galaxy of people out there with literally infinite possibility but it seems that everything must revolve around this one family. So much potential to be its own thing, but no back to the only family that matters apparently…
Luke was the main character of the original trilogy, not any of the other canon story arcs. Focusing on a single family line is basic and boring. His father was space jesus, we get it. The entire franchise doesn’t need to be about them. The Skywalkers aren’t what makes Star Wars enticing, the setting is. There are trillions of people in the galaxy. Let them actually shine rather than parading around the corpse of the past.
Hey it would be nice to see Plo again, but give me a break to actually state that the fandom is split between seeing Luke or ANYONE else is just crazy and the above posters are right just pushing their agendas.
I would strongly suggest that if you want to shorten Plo Koon’s name, you shorten it to Plo. Not only is that how they do it in canon, but it also avoids the slightly unfortunate associations when you write it the way you did in this article.
They’re just mad because we got the Skywalker we deserved. Only few in seem to understand this. Kathleen Kennedy and tlj destroyed him. Filoni and Favreau redeemed him. The overwhelming positive reaction alone should have told the story. But obviously it was lost on Disney.
What do you mean suddenly? There were people complaining about it being Luke when the episode first aired…
Plo would have been more interesting and less obvious, just because we saw him crash doesn’t mean he’s 100% dead… Maul was cut in half, Boba was eaten by the sarlacc, Anakin fell in lava, Palpatine- well we don’t talk about Palpatine
While the Disney movies ruined Luke Skywalker’s character, there is nothing more annoying that doing deepfakes and having some other actor play Mark Hamill’s role. It looked really uncanny valley and bad in Mando 2nd season. I was hoping they would have used some other character there.
I really hope they do not continue using Luke in the future shows.
Mark Hamill played Luke in the Mandalorian. They just used their de-aging tech to make him look younger. The deepfake going around actually looks better, to be honest. Either way, it was still Mark Hamill playing Luke.
I hope you guys do realize that art of Luke and grogu building a lightsaber is a concept art designed by a fan, right? Not actual concept art pushed out by Disney for any purpose other than art.
Wow, everyone is focusing on the wrong thing. We already know that Luke’s nephew kills all of the other trainees when he goes ballistic. Poor Grogu. I wish it had been anyone else that had come for that precious boy. 🙁
The Luke cameo was about as useful as his appearance in episode VIII, not like Hamill was able to jump around and do the stunts that he used to when he was younger and he was too old to do most of what a Jedi does anyway much like Ford and Fisher were. His appearance in Mandalorian useless as well given film is supposed to be about Mandalorian not the Jedi and was a piss poor attempt at a younger Luke too could tell was digitally redone really.
Seeing Luke on the Mandalorian was the high point of the series to date for me. If ‘NEWS’ media acceptance of the whining of a tiny minority rather than to the gleeful (if quieter) acceptance of the majority may prove (A) that the NEWS professionals will snap at the ‘least’ important voice every time or (B) it might demonstrate that the professionals may recognize the rest of us might prefer to respond to issues NOT of real or fantasy humans than one more listing of lives being taken by power mongers committing even in the name of freedom fighters. We may choose fantasy in the name of Star Wars’ universe because those who die in it will stand up, alive. The grief I feel over actual lives lost is often unbearable, so I often retreat to science fiction, BTS, K-Dramas, and prayer.😌😥😪

It was a joy and emotional relief to see the young Skywalker again! 🤞💜🥰💜👍
Plot Koon’s ship crashed and exploded. Only physical way he was coming back was force goop soup. Luke coming back was great. Shows the real Skywalker. Not some hermit sucking on space cows.
Disney made a huge mistake by ignoring the Thrawn trilogy. All those arguments about Hamill and others being too old have literally gone out the window. There are other actors and there’s technology to give us older than ROTJ characters and Zahn already wrote a good story. Thrawn was and ramins a fan favorite so all the elements were there to create a huge new trilogy. Thank God for Filoni and Favreau. At least there’s some redemption…..
I think the person pretending to be a writer here, should stick to reality tv articles. If it had been Ploo, and we later found out it was almost Like, there may have been a riot.
Well this is some trash reporting. The return of proper Luke Skywalker is one of the greatest moments in Star Wars history. Just because a couple of Twitter idiots say otherwise doesn’t mean the fans have regrets.
For me personally, I would love to see some of the star wars universe that doesn’t involve the Skywalker family. The mandalorian was that, until Luke stuck his big head in there. Can nothing happen in this universe without that family being a part of it?
God the mainstream media is so sad. This has got to be one of the worst titles and takes around Luke. A SMALL minority on twitter who bootlick Kennedy and Disney SWs clearly hate Luke’s redemption in Mando, but everyone else absolutely loved it. No amount of hit pieces and outright garbage ‘journalism’ will change that.
Talk about being totally out of step and a Disney shill.
You Clone War loving punks need to quit hating on my boy Luke Skywalker. I loved his cameo on the Mandelorian. Especially when the lone X-wing fighter pulled up. So get a life haters!!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Which “fans” is this website talking about? Bringing back Luke was about one of the best moves Disney could have done to repair some of the damage they did with the sequel trilogy. Axing the EU was a horrible, horrible mistake, and only now are they finally realizing this. Relying on past throwbacks–and taking from “Legends”–this is the way to move past the Rey-Lo blunder. Plo Koon is cool, to be sure, but he doesn’t carry nearly the street cred that any of the OGs have. What they need to do is cameo MORE OG Star Wars material. And if they want to retcon the $h!t out of the sequels (Veil of the Force or some such), I wouldn’t lose any sleep over that.
Plo was shoot down, so unless there is some “Jedi Magic” that saved him from the “shot all to Pieces” starship, don’t see this happening. Also, this will help fill in the “history” between Return and Force Awakens. After Disney made the decision that none of the Novels were part of Canon, I guess anything is still possible.
Seriously?? All they need is Han an Chewie blasting in and saving the day with multiple appearances. Who cares about some obsolete character from one of the worst movies ever put out. They are by far the two most interesting characters in the star wars universe. Why filoni keeps ignoring them is really starting to piss me off🤬🤬
Star Wars fans don’t know what they want. They cry like man-babies that Luke was in it and wasn’t in it enough in the last jedi or was in it too much in last jedi.. etc. It’s appalling that the most vocal demographic is also the most aggressive and also spends the most on star wars merchandise (thus, making them the demographic disney will listen to the most.)
Meanwhile, we prequel fans are just waiting for any tidbit thrown our way.
Plo Koon was shown being shot down, but dude is one a few Jedi’s shown doing just fine in space during the clone wars. He could still be alive, but If have to give Mace Windu a better chance.
Who are these ” fans ” that wish the Cameo never happened? We all know this article is bogus. Only The Last Jedi Fanboys were upset over that Cameo while the rest of us welcomed it. Because it brought back our hero our Luke Skywalker the way he was supposed to be. Favreau and filoni obviously understood that. These fake fans did not.

Anyone who thinks they should have reconned his death is insane. Let’s not go down that path.
Chris
Totally agree!
Kevin
I never heard of anyone complaining about this. Wouldn’t be suprised if writer saw one tweet and took it as a unanimous opinion of fans
DAVID MCDIVITT
Yes!!!. Plo Koon definitely died already.

I was hoping for Ezra Bridger.

No offense… But that seems kinda dumb if you think about it.
Star Wars was originally a story about a son trying to save his father.
Luke is literally the main character of the story before it was transformed into a franchise.
Darien Williams
Luke was the main character of the original trilogy, not any of the other canon story arcs. Focusing on a single family line is basic and boring. His father was space jesus, we get it. Thankfully, you’re not there to write anything.

“Anybody but a Skywalker” are all but dead. Ahsoka said no, and literally all the other jedi are dead.

Actually, that’s not accurate either… There are a handful of Jedi who survived order 66 and the inquisitors hunts…
mike murphy
It’s the Skywalker sags so ya its all about them

Plo Koon died? Show me the body.
In one frame you see his ship get shot. But immediately after the camera jumps FAR AWAY and the next part of the scene shows the ship explode.
It’s entirely possible that he escaped during the missing frames.
Plus as mentioned before, Darth Maul survives getting cut in half. Anakin burns alive, etc.
No character can ever be declared 100% dead until there is a body.
